They're finally home. Thank G-d.
May they be surrounded with love from the people who've fought for two years to see this day and may they recover in peace.

Look at the fear on one of the hostages' face after being taken to the Red Cross
This is so amateur and disgusting but they do this on purpose, to instill as much fear as possible.
What did they do to you, childβ¦
Even after several days out of captivity, Rom is still struggling to be around people. He refuses to use his phone, prefers to disconnect from everything. He barely recognized his brother and canβt handle too many people getting close to him.
When asked what he wants to do, he simply says:
"Just look at the sky."
Rom spent two years in isolation under Islamic Jihad. The terrorists forced him to sleep beside the bodies of other hostages, tried to make him convert to Islam, beat him, and subjected him to relentless physical and psychological abuse. Cruel beyond words.
They lied to him constantly β telling him Israel had been destroyed after a war with Iran.
The country must protect Rom.
Via Yael Levontin
I've seen far too many comments today along the lines of "they look healthy enough, they've just had a holiday," about the released hostages, because they were able to walk on their own feet and had the audacity to smile and look happy at being reunited with their families after two years of forced captivity.
Never mind the fact that many of them don't actually look healthy at all, they're clearly rail thin and pallid, that there's reports of serious untreated injuries, malnutrition and vitamin deficiencies, if you can't muster up even the iota of empathy, compassion, or humanity it takes to understand that someone being happy at being free after being held hostage for 24 fucking months doesn't mean they were "treated well" you actual monsters.
Would you say these things about literally anyone else who'd been through the same thing or is it just okay here because they're Israeli and therefore not entitled to the same consideration as any other human being? Take a long hard look at yourself in the goddamn mirror before answering.

all the living hostages are finally home safe. i've never cried so much out of relief. it's like waking up from a nightmare that's lasted 2 years and 1 week. i can finally breathe. and yet, i'll never be the same. am yisrael will never be the same. we were gaslit, attacked, and ridiculed while the world cheered for our blood to be spilled. they cheered while lifeless bodies were paraded through gaza like trophies. they cheered for the terrorists and we paid the price.
however, we can't forget the hostages who were cruelly murdered and their bodies taken hostage. 4 have been returned, but 24 still have yet to come home. the coming days will be rough, but we will get through it. we are strong and united.
may their memories be a blessing. may the living have a peaceful and safe recovery. may the world see better days.
I hope that nothing stops the good news of the hostages been released.
To all Israeli and Jews, I hope you can finally breath and fell like you all can finally rest. I cannot even imagine how surreal is to have this fear and also hope that this nightmare is almost over.
They now can finally heal and rest of this nightmare.
I send a hug to everyone.
