Here’s Vincent Price and Professor Ratigan from Disney’s “The Great Mouse Detective” — this is for all of your VP fans and GMD fans out there!! Including @edzidolka!
You gotta love Vincent Price (R.I.P.) as he’s one of the greatest Horror actors but also one of the greatest voice actors ever as he famously played Ratigan 🐀which, according to Price, is one of his favorite roles he ever played. I’ve been watching his movies as I was drawing him and his little mini ratty self, lol! 😂 😂

hey i noticed ur are a horror costume designer (on ur pinned). whats ur favourite costume that u've designed? and what was your favourite part about it?
Oh I love this question!!
So it depends! if it’s a costume that I wear my favorite is my Banshee character. I am doing a photoshoot soon for her so I’ll post photos.
I spent lots of time researching her and it’s the design is actually the reason I got my job and became so well known! In a world full of scary clowns (said with love), be a scary old woman. 😙
If it’s a costume not for me! Eeeeeh that’s so hard!! They’re my babies!! I’ve made hundreds of costumes so it’s hard to pick specific ones. I think it’s a set of WW1 nurses. I had made them half human half decayed and I lovedddd it. Anything with a good skirt and a fun hat gets me everytime. The makeup team did a great job at doing their makeup too and it was incredible.
Right now my team is working on Radium Girl inspired costume that’s similar to the nurses. (But it’ll glow) We’re also working on another costume I can’t mention now but I’ll post when it’s done!!
My favorite details for most haunted house costumes are usually the FAKE!! blood. We take alot of time when it comes to figuring out the spray or splatter patterns. Sometimes we will put the clothes on ourselves and try and “reenact” stuff to get the SFX blood to set on the clothes correctly. My lovely makeup lead used to be a forensic artist so it’s funny asking him for help because he knows the details.
My favorite details for film or theatre is whenever I get the chance for handy work. Embroidery, beading, airbrush. Small details that don’t get appreciated as much at a haunted house that I can spend hours on.
I’ll try and pull together some photos of my work if anyone is interested!
