I say Hillshire, you say _____! Vegetarian! (Just kidding.)
Dream house? Circular library with a floor to ceiling bay window on at least one quarter of the wall. A room with a sunken area for two or three mattresses to be put into the floor so we can flop down onto bed whenever, with a TV and all our related TV stuff on the opposite wall for games and Netflix in bed. A kitchen with awesome kitchen type technologies and baking equipment so I can make cookies whenever I want. Two rooms to the side: one soundproofed for him and his piano, and one well-lit for me and my crafts/computer.
If you had one wish, what would it be? (Can’t wish for more wishes!) For a future.
What song do you listen to when you’re angry? I've Been from the Next to Normal soundtrack.
What just drives you up the wall? STORYTIME: My grandmother recently bought a car. It's a RAV-4 and it is ENORMOUS compared to what she used to drive. My grandma is an octogenarian and doesn't drive that much anyway, so she doesn't park very well. I share a garage with her. I have to fold in my mirrors to get into the garage and I STILL can't open my door all the way most days. Then she yells at me for bopping her car with my door when I open it. >:C
If you had to morph two animals together, what animals would you choose and what would it be called? I'd morph a baby dog and a rabbit. It'd be called a punny. *ba dum tss*
If you were to choose one movie to live in, what would it be? Hm. Probably My Neighbor Totoro. SO CUTE.
Favorite movie? 2D Animated: My Neighbor Totoro. 3D Animated: UP. Live Action Upbeat: Hot Fuzz. Live Action Sad/Bittersweet: 50/50. I could go on.
Favorite book? Oh god don't do this to me.
What’s the weirdest dream you’ve ever had? About a year ago I had a serial dream over two or three nights about an adventure I took with the Starfleet AU of Avengers. It was trippy and strange.
And because this is the last question, tell us a turn on! Nuzzling on my neck and/or stroking my hair. But if you do either of these things if we are not close, I will end you.
My questions:
What's your favorite sound?
Tell us about your favorite childhood memory involving school.
What's the strangest food/flavor combination you enjoy?
When did you first realize that your OTP was THE OTP?
What's your favorite animal?
Of the seven deadly sins, what is yours?
Of the seven heavenly virtues, what is yours?
If you knew 100% for a fact that you would not be caught or even suspected, would you commit murder?
What's your favorite Disney character?
Got any good travel stories?
Tell us about that one time at camp.
Taggles in taggles.
hookchosetheswangirl replied to your post “¦so, i have a question: since scott and allison broke up what’s...”
i'm pretty sure he's still in love with allison though? so she's probably still his anchor.
i'd believe that, except canon is rly rly unclear about it, because they've broken up before and, as i recall, that didn't go so well for scott, so.
and, like, he and allison kept away from each other all summer, so. presumably, either scott has mastered control, or he changed his anchor. (and there's nothing saying they can't change anchors, so.)
(personally, i'll sit here with my headcanon that scott did change anchors, because of his determination to give allison the space she needed, and probably ended up using stiles or his mom for his new anchor.)

biointeho replied to your post: OH MY GOD BECHDEL TEST WEBSITE WHY DO I EVEN CHECK...
what the actual fuck? doesn’t that defeat the point of the Bechdel test?!
A lot of shit on that site defeats the point completely. Here is a list of nonsense that they have used to disqualified otherwise-passing movies:
A man is in the room when the conversation took place, despite having no lines
The conversation didn't last a full minute and a half (which is worth mentioning, but not a part of the test even a little bit)
"She wasn't talking with her, she was talking to her."
The conversation was about someone whose identity and gender is unknown to both the characters and the audience at the time of conversation. It is eventually revealed to be a man. (I haven't watched "Gossip Girl," but I've heard rumors that "Gossip Girl" isn't necessarily a "girl," and if they're true, I really don't feel like all conversations between women about Gossip Girl on that show should retroactively fail because it turned out to be a man)
One woman started the conversation on earth, and the other woman waited until they were both on board a spaceship to continue talking, even though there were no lines between those two points
"Subtextually about a man" which often translates to "that conversation made me think of a male character, even though they never mentioned him"
One or more woman was wearing revealing clothing when the conversation took place (not part of the test)
It is a children's movie and the conversation is between two characters, at least one of whom is named as "(character's) mom."
And my personal favorite:
Whether or not it passes depends on how much of the movie is outside a product of a character's imagination, which character, and whether one of the women is a figment of a man's imagination or a shade of an actual woman who died, none of which is ever clarified within the film's narrative. The film I'm talking about is "Inception," which is currently listed as a "dubious pass." If "Mal" is really an echo of the real Mal, then it passes. If "Mal" is a projection, but the whole story is Cobb's dream, then it passes (because in that case, all the characters are projections and the movie passes because Mal and Ariadne are equally "real").
So basically, the point is that the Bechdel Test is a really valuable tool, especially for beginners, for examining whether or not the female characters have agency of their own in the plot. Of course, that's all it is, though, a jumping-off point. People who are more experienced in media literacy and critique can usually tell whether or not the women in the film are independent agents and characters in their own right without even considering whether or not it passed the Bechdel Test.
Because honestly, the only thing the Bechdel Test actually measures is whether or not it passed the Bechdel Test. The result of whether or not a movie passes should always have a follow-up question.
It passed: Okay, is there positive portrayal of all genders portrayed? Do the women have agency? Is the film misogynist? Is it feminist?
The movie failed: Okay, why did it fail? What does it say about this movie that it doesn't have two women talking to each other about something or a man or men? Does it fail because of tokenism? Does it fail because there are only two characters in the film and at least one of them is male, meaning it would be impossible by definition for it to pass? Does it fail because it's impossible for two women to have a conversation about anything if there's only one character in the film, even if that character is a woman? Is the movie set in a jury room where the defendant is a man, and even though six of the jurors are women and they all have their own interests and motivations and are independent agents, all the dialogue in the film is about the guilt or innocence of the defendant?
I got a little over-explainy there, I think, but my point is that I don't like the fact that this website treats a useful jumping-off point for media critique as if it's a hard-and-fast rule. In reality, movies can fail the Bechdel Test and still have three-dimensional, positive, responsible portrayals of women with plenty of agency, and movies can pass it with flying colors and still completely fail to have the women be characters in their own right who exist beyond their relation to the male characters.
Anyway, point is that I really hate that website.
Damon/Elena s5 Headcanons
I think that after the first day with Jeremy back to life, where she refuses to let him out of her sight, she ~shifts her attention~ to being with Damon and they essentially bang and nap for about a day straight. Eventually, Jeremy gets kind of jealous with all of Elena’s attention being on Damon, so he trolls them by making noise in the other parts of the house, so that Elena suddenly stops to make sure Jeremy is okay. Damon and Jeremy essentially troll each other all summer, until Elena turns it all around and pranks them both, forcing them to openly talk about it
I think Elena starts to slowly redecorate/change how things are set up in her and Damon’s room, and slowly in other parts of the house, and at first Damon tries to roll with it, but he basically gets pissed and says “Elena, this is an antique, we can’t put your horse poster next to it, it sets off the balance”. While she’s all like “But it’s just like the one that used to be in my room before it burned down :((” and he kind of concedes but it drives him mad, so he gets super particular about certain things from then on, like leaving clothing strewn about the house. “Elena, I know we passionately made out by the fire place, but your bra does not belong on the top of my antique lamp”.
There’s lots of fights over dishes and domestic chores because ~Elena does it all wrong~ and these often lead to heated fights and fucking against the kitchen counter or the dryer.
Damon attempts to make Elena a birthday cake as a surprise. She can tell right away and catches him making it. She distracts him and the cake burns and then she throws the cake at him. Impromptu messy kitchen cake sex ensues.
They all kind of boil down to “Elena/Damon trolls the other, Damon is obsessed with being a housewife, they fuck against a wall”.

that’s really really sweet. your parents sound amazing :)
Yup! I always say that if a show was made about their journey, it would be a hit. It's such a good girl - bad boy story that sometimes I feel like I'm reading about them when I read a book with this trope :D
