Well obviously none of them like the Originals. What I'm getting at is that they said there is no one who can fix it, when they dont even know if an Original can undo it to begin with (most likely) because they haven't even mentioned that option, much less pursued it.

Elijah has a decent amount of respect for her, although they are not, strictly speaking, friends. I have no doubt, given the writer(s)'s plethora of sub plots and random tangents, that they would be able to find a way for them to bargain with an Original yet again for this. 

Whether or not that happens, I just wish they'd realize that they're forgetting another part of their universe. At least acknowledge there's the other possibility, whether or not it'll work out, instead of walking around saying things that makes it sound like Alaric was the only one capable of helping Elena in that regard.

maybe because that’s not about censoring sexuality, because as a bisexual person i really don’t want to be in ANY way associated with an old creepy guy who hits on people regardless of how uncomfortable it makes them. so i’m ok with that being cut.

Well, as another bisexual person (possibly biromantic asexual but whatevs) that IS still about censoring sexuality, regardless of how problematic the character in question was. 

It was really grandpa's behavior toward girls that was his problematic aspect.  We never saw if he made guys uncomfortable because it wasn't mentioned after this episode.

and by all accounts, we’ve seen that hook would MUCH rather a woman have sex with him because he’s just so charming she can’t resist—see his relationship with milah and how easily emma was able to get onto his ship when they went into the past.

and he was quite concerned, imo, with whether or not emma really wanted to be with him once he got her back onto his ship - remember when he said "i do hope you're not having second thoughts."

ppl misunderstand hook so badly. they want to think that his emotional state when he was introduced circa “the crocodile” is his default/true face, when really it was his darkest hour

or he just doesn't need to drink blood wherever they are. i mean it's not the real world, it's not the other side, and time isn't passing since they're reliving the same day over and over again.
