Honey Orange Pulled Pork is a tasty and tender dish that tastes great with both sweet and sour citrus fruits. It goes well with rice, tacos, or sandwiches.
Ingredients: 3-4 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed. 1 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 cup honey. 1/2 cup orange juice. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 onion, sliced. 4 cloves garlic, minced.
Instructions: Set the oven to 325F 163C before you start cooking. Put salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in a small bowl and mix them together. Cover the pork shoulder with the spice mix. Add the orange juice, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to a different bowl and mix them together having a whisk. Put away. In a pot that can go in the oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. On all sides, sear the pork shoulder until it turns brown. Take the pork out of the pot. Put minced garlic and sliced onions in the same pot. Cook until it gets soft. Put the sear pork back in the pot and pour the honey-orange mix over it. Place the pot in an oven that has already been heated and cover it. If you want the pork to be soft and easy to shred with a fork, bake it for three to four hours. When the pork is done, use two forks to shred it and mix it with the sauce in the pot. You can put the Honey Orange Pulled Pork on buns, tortillas, or rice. Enjoy the sweet and savory tastes of this tasty pulled pork!
