Half or nearly half of my canned goods get stored in this built-in cabinet. It’s not deep, but that can be a good thing, since nothing will ever get pushed to the back and forgotten. I need a step ladder for the top two shelves, but I have a small folding ladder sitting nearby anyway. My ceilings are 9 feet (almost 3 m) tall and I might as well use all that space! One issue is that canning jars have space on the lid to label the contents - but they don’t show when you store them this way. I got labels though
that dissolve in the wash after you’re done with them. I tried it last year, they work as advertised and they look nice, too.
