Kekipi’s brows slightly frowned, seeing this broken state that Homelander was going through. She never takes her gaze away from him — away from his back anyway — since he was facing away from her. She hums softly, shaking her head a little before taking a few steps towards him before stopping. She lifts her hand up as if she were going to place her hand on his shoulder.
She hesitates momentarily, her clawed fingers flexing a little before she finally sighs and lays her hand on his shoulder, stepping around him slightly so her eyes are on him. On the burning cigarette that’s burning in his mouth. It was something she didn’t expect to see, but, it was unexpected, either. While he may have been a supe, he was still… human, in a way. Just like how she was a werewolf, she was still human in a way.
His scent and the smoke of his cigarette wafted into her system, making her shake her head a little. She sighs, “Trust me, I don’t think I can imagine you in that get-up, even if I wanted to try,” she chuckles a little, her hand still resting on his shoulder. “But, I get it. We have those moments… It’s normal, if that makes you feel any better,” she adds, humming a little.
She stands in front of him, studying his features for a moment. Noting how his blue eyes stared off somewhere beyond her, focusing on god knows what. Suddenly, she reaches up to pluck the cigarette from his lips to situate between hers, taking a drag from it. She kept her eyes on him the entire time, from the moment she takes the cigarette to when she exhales the smoke from her nostrils.
“You want to tell me what’s bothering you?” she asks, “I’ve got no better place to be in this hellhole since Vought has me tethered here, so, might as well, yea?”
