book you’ve reread the most times?

I don't know if there is ONE book I've re-read more times than anything else, because I'm a big re-reader/re-watcher too. Anything I love, I re-read multiple times. I've definitely read a bunch of childhood favorites many, many times. Possibly The Witch of Blackbird Pond and Heidi, which have both been favorites of mine for almost as long as I can remember, are tied for first place, along with The Little Princess and Ballet Shoes. I've also re-read the Little House books, The Princess Bride, the Melendy family series (The Saturdays, The Four-Story Mistake, And Then There were Five, and Spiderweb for Two) and the Tillerman family cycle (the series that starts with Homecoming and Dicey's Song) many times, as well as Remembering the Good Times and a YA sci-fi novel called The Danger Quotient that I absolutely loved.

I've re-read the Loretta Chase novel Mr. Impossible many times (it's kind of like a Regency version of The Mummy). And I've also been reading and re-reading The Murderbot Diaries kind of in an endless loop for the past six years--they're definitely a comfort series for me.

14. What are some places where you feel most at home?

One of the coolest things about moving around a lot is that I've learned to be pretty comfortable in a wide variety of places. Everywhere we've lived has become 'home' to me, so I can truly feel at home on the freeway in Southern California, traveling on the train in Japan, in rural Maryland, on the Capitol Mall in Washington DC, walking around the ASU campus in Tempe, AZ, or ordering milchkaffe in Germany. That said, I am always happy and at home in a library, or around kids, or walking in the woods.

15. Do you have any houseplants? Do any of them have names?

I have 18 houseplants, I think? Including several pothos and a huge split-leaf philodendron (it's like a monstera) that we had to cut in half not long ago and give to a friend because it was getting so unbalanced.The only one that has a name is the bird's-nest fern, which I call Birdie.
