Wow! What an epic trip. Started off at 0615 hrs in #casagrandeaz. 7 of us headed to #lascruces. Stayed there about an hour, then continued on to #albequerque to link up with some brothers there. After Dinner, right at 611 miles, we rode on to #holbrookaz where it got chilly. We doned our cold gear and headed out...just before the shifter broke on my brothers bike. 15 mins of tinkering, we were able to get him on the road temporarily anyway. We were 45 mins from another brothers home in #showlowaz where 3 made the decision to stay there. So the brother with the broken shifter and his wife were safe. My stubborn ass decided I was going to continue and finish the #ironbutt! So my other brother @vitsdennis and his wife @tvits1 decided to not let me roll solo, so off we go through the #Saltrivercanyon at 1am. It started to rain and hail about 10 miles in on the 76 mile trip to Globe....riding at 25-30 mph, we finally reached #Globe, wishing we'd stayed in Showlow where it was warm..lol. we were soaking wet, freezing, but continued on. I hit 1,000 miles in the middle of Globe; I still had 90 miles til home. We split off and 1.5 hrs later, I was taking a hot shower at 0530 hrs... 1091 miles complete! I woke up at 4pm to see photos of my brothers bikes covered in snow! LMAO. Only in Arizona! They all made it home safely...just a lot later than expected!
