Three years ago this week I was in New Mexico riding and photographing the @cumbrestoltec. My hotel room was across the street from the station. Waking up to the sounds of a bustling steam powered rail yard is pretty strange in the context of the sounds of industry that I'm used to, but I'm sure it was much the same as it was 80+ years ago. I lost a friend today, he was almost Seventeen. It hurts, a lot, but it'll get better. This was the last photo I took of Gilligan, before his health really began to decline.
