Fun! Some characters are more associated with certain animals than others. Like Leo would obviously be a lion, Kingston would be a rabbit, Quinn a tiger, etc.

Claudette is very puppy-like. She's enthusiastic, energetic and wants to be friends with everyone and is blindly loyal to those friends. I'd say pug, because they're hammy and clown-like on their own (trust me, I know).

In contrast, Charlie is more like a cat. He's smart, curious, and an acrobat. He enjoys being around his friends and family, but isn't as interested in new people as his twin sister. Charlie's aloofness, would probably more intimidating if he wasn't a 13-year-old clown boy.

Ron would be a bear. Strong, woodsy, hairy, hates shoes, likes pic-a-nic baskets...

Will and Fred = circus monkeys

Penelope = Poodle (obvs)

Cupcake = Sasquatch

Daisy = Hummingbird

Pascal= California kingsnake, because they're black and white striped? I guess?

Manet = Crow

Matisse = some kind of poison dart frog.

Well, one reason may be that DDD was on the 3DS, rather than the DS. Because of this, DDD’s graphics (the models used, maps, textures, etc) were a lot more simple to bring up to a remaster’s standards then say, Coded would be. Coded (original mobile game* OR DS game) was a lot more different in DDD due to it’s limitations. A lot more of its cutscenes was text dialogue with stationary portraits, for example. Of course it WAS only the cutscenes they recreated into a movie, but even though I’ve never PLAYED Coded myself (neither mobile OR DS) I suspect that the way it was designed would have been awkward or difficult to bring that to a PS4 remaster collection. And because Nomura probably deems the main story cutscenes to be the most important part of the game, he probably thought most people would be alright JUST watching the cutscene movie that KH2.5 provides-- and honestly, I kinda agree. There isn’t really much else content of quality outside of that cutscene movie. In fact the KH2.5 version’s added cutscenes (of Maleficent talking about the Book of Prophecies and it’s secret ending) aren’t in the original game mobile or DS game at all.

I haven’t actually seen Runaway Brain! I didn’t even know it existed until DDD haha. But I’d like to watch it, maybe this Halloween 👀
