*Y/n is sat with Thorin's company as they feast in Rivendell, having stopped there on their way to the lonely mountain. Gandalf and Throin are sat with Lord Elrond at a separate table chatting about the swords they had found in the troll's hoard on the Great East road. Y/n sipping on some water as their eyes are focused on Lord Elrond, sat beside Y/n is their best friend Bofur, who is currently having a laugh about Kili mistaking one of the Ellon musicians for an Elleth. Once his laughing had settled he turns his attention to Y/n and sees their dreamy and borderline lovesick expression, he follows their line of sight and realizes that their gaze is set on the Lord of Rivendell.*
Bofur: "Fancy the Elven Lord, do you laddie/lass?" He teases, elbowing their side.
Y/n: They scoff lightly, giving him a light elbow back, their voice falling to a hushed tone, shifting their gaze to Bofur, a faint look of annoyance on their face "Sssh! The Lord will hear you" They turn their sights back to Elrond "I'll have you know that elves have impeccable hearing."
Bofur: His voice falls to a whisper as he leans in to speak into their ear. "I don't doubt that, laddie/lass. However the Lord is bound to catch you eyeing him sooner or later, best you save yourself the humiliation-"
Y/n: "Oh hush!" Y/n says in a whisper yell "He won't catch me, I've made sure of that. You see the trick is, is to divert my eyes just as he's about to look over and I haven't had to do that yet, see, he's still talking to Gandalf." Y/n notices Thorin stand up and walk away, their gaze following Thorin for a brief moment before returning it to the Lord of Rivendell and their gaze accidently meets with Lord Elrond's, the eye contact causing their heart to skip several beats "Oh Valar" They whisper as they quickly bring their gaze down to the table below, their cheeks flushing at the sudden eye contact with the handsome Lord of Rivendell.
*Bofur laughs at Y/n's flustered state, elbowing their side once again*
You glared at Bofur. âIts not funnyâŚâ you growled before excusing yourself from the table. You needed to find a place to calm your pounding heart.Â
You found a quiet spot and sat down before you began to count the scars on your arms from the battles you had been through.
You paused when you came to the large scar on your bicep and a smile spread across your face. This scar wasnt from a battle, this was from when Fili and Kili were much younger. The three of you had been fooling around in the forest, doing things you knew you shouldn't do, things that would get you into deep trouble.Â
Someone cleared their throat and you looked up to see the lord of rivendell looking at you with a soft smile on his face.Â
You quickly rose to your feet and boiled. âMy lord, i-â
He gently cut you off. âWhy don't you join me for a walk in the garden?â he asked, holding out his hand to you.
Blushing, you took it, unable to speak or meet his gaze for fear that you would embarrass yourself.Â
After a few moments of silence, Elrond spoke. âTell me, how are you enjoying your stay in Rivendell?â
You blushed before speaking. âI've found it quite calm here, which is far from what i am used to, as you know dwarves are seldom quiet.â
Elrond nodded and you noticed he was watching you with mild interest, a soft smile on his face. âAnd why is it that a young maiden such as yourself is traveling with a rowdy group of dwarves?â
You smiled. âWell, Gandlf asked me to accompany him and i can never turn down an opportunity for an adventure, especially one that includes parels and danger.â
âI seeâŚâ he said, âit appears your group is preparing to leave.â he nodded in the direction of the dwarves as they snuck out of the valley.
âI should be going then, I don't wish to be left behind.â
âWell then, this is where I leave you, burn if you are always welcome in the valley, please stop by of you are passing through.â
âI will keep that in mind, i would love to return if i get a chance.â
Elrond took your hand in his and placed a soft liss on your knuckles. âI will be waiting for your return,â he said softly.
Pink covered your face and you backed away before running to catch up with the others. âWhat just happened?â you asked yourself as you fell in with the rest of the group.

You stood, watching the elves dance with one another. You frowned and sighed, finishing your third- or was this your forth- glass of wine.Â
âY/n, you donât seem to be enjoying yourself⌠what is the matter?âÂ
You looked up to see lord Elrond. âI-itâs nothingâŚâ you lied, avoiding eye-contact.Â
He gently took the empty wine glass from your hand. âCome, dance with me.â  He said as he took your hands.Â
âMy lord, I hate to decline, but I donât fell like-â you gasped as he spun you around.Â
He took you through the dance and you accidentally stepped on his foot. âIâm sorryâŚâ you whispered.Â
He gave you a gentle smile. âItâs okâŚâ
You tripeâs and fell, almost taking Elrond down with you.Â
âAre you alright?âÂ
You didnât answer as you ran out of the ball room, a little laughter coming from behind you as you ran.Â
You ran until you reached the garden then you collapsed and began to softly cry, looking up at the stars.Â
âY/n?â
You didnât respond.Â
Elrond sat on the grass next to you, gently placing his hand on your back. âAre you hurt?â
You let out a sob. âI-I justâŚâ
Elrond pulled you to him so your head could rest on his chest. âY/n, I-â
âI donât know how to danceâŚâ you admitted, pushing away and going to stand. âIâm sorry, I must have embarrassed you something awful when I fellâŚâ you mumbled, turning to leave. âI-I think Iâll turn in for the night, save you from being embarrassed by me again-â
Suddenly, you felt a hand on your waist and you were spun around. âItâs I who should apologize, I shouldnât have pushed you to do something you didnât want toâŚâ he paused, looking in your eyes. âThough⌠I could teach you to dance⌠if youâd likeâŚâ
You smiled. âI would like that, I-if itâs not to mu-â
He held up his hand, âitâs not a problem at all, besides, I needed an excuse to get away from the ballroom, Thranduil was driving me crazy.Â
You chuckled and he led you through a waltz. You paused when he yelped from you stepping in his toes again. âIâm sorry!â
He gently cupped your cheek, âitâs ok, your learningâŚâ
âWait, hold onâŚâ you bent down to undo your shoes, fighting the skirt of your dress.Â
Elrond chuckled. âHere, sitâŚâ he said, motioning to a bench.Â
You sat and he knelt, gently undoing your shoes for you. Your cheeks heated as his hands brushed agents your skin as he undid the clasps.Â
He pulled you to your feet and helped you dance. You thought youâd gotten it when suddenly you both fell, you landed in top of him, your chest agents his.Â
He put his arms around your lower back. âHeh, I knew youâd fall for meâŚâ he muttered before placing his lips on yours.Â
âIf I told you the truth of who I am, you would hate me.â (Prompt)
Mellon nin: my friendÂ
âTwo more sheep were killed last night along with a horse, we are running low on live stock.â You heard Lord Elrond say to Lindir as you pressed your ear up against the door. You frowned and tears ran down your face. You didnât want to kill them but you were starving.Â
That had been three days agoâŚ
You sat quietly in a corner of the library watching as Lindir read a book. You could hear his heart beating from across the room you licked your lips subconsciously before gently sinking your sharp fang into your bottom lip. You were hungry and with every passing second you grew more hungry. You loved him yes, but your want for blood was driving you mad. You shifted in your seat and Lindir looked up, his deep brown eyes meeting your face. âY/n, is everything alright?â
His voice almost pushed you over the edge of your quickly dwindling self control. âEverything is fine, LindirâŚâ you lied.Â
He set down the book and walked over to you, his robes swaying slightly as they did. He gently placed his hand on your cheek. You could feel his pulse. You whimpered slightly and Lindir frowned, gently stroking your cheek. He was driving you mad and he didnât even know it.Â
âLindir please, not nowâŚâ
His frown deepened and he pulled up a chair. âY/n⌠whatâs wrong?â
You looked away from him, trying to ignore his heart beating which seemed as if it were in your ear.Â
You looked at him with shame in your eyes. He gently took your hands. âY/n, what bothers you?â
You closed your eyes and let out a whimper. âI-if I told you the truth, you would hate me, Mellon ninâŚâ
âI could never hate you.â
You frowned. âAnd you canât help me with my situationâŚâ you mumbled as your eyes fell upon his neck. You could see his veins there pulsating with every beat of his heart.Â
âY/n⌠you worry me.â
You bit the tip of your tongue with your right fang, hoping that the taste of your own blood would sooth your ache for his, it did not instead it only became worse.
âY/n, pleaseâŚâ
You looked into his pleading eyes and sighed. âLindir, Iâm hungry, but not for food, Iâm hungry for something else, something farâŚsweeterâŚâ
âLike a desert? Wine? Tea and honey?â
You shook your head. âNo Iâm hungry for-â
âIâve got it, the ginger berries I brought well snuck you last week.â
You shook your head.Â
âThen⌠what?â
You moveded closer until your lips were mere inches from his.Â
âY-y/n?â He asked nervously.
You smiled. âIâm hungry forâŚyouâŚâ was your whispered response before you pressed your lips on his.Â
He gave off a muffled yelp before pulling you closer and running his fingers through your soft hair.Â
You pulled away and gently kissed his neck. âBut I canât have you⌠youâd hate me if I told you the truth of what- who I amâŚâ
He kissed your soft lips again. âY/n, I would never hate youâŚâ
âEven if I was a blood-thirsty monster?â You asked.Â
âY/n, youâre not a-â he stoped mid sentence as you grimaced, flashing your fangs. You gently licked one of them and Lindir gulped loudly.Â
You waited for him to shout for the guards, to grab the sword from the set of armer next to him, for him to hit you. But he did none of those, instead he gently cupped your face in his hands and he pressed his lips on yours. âYouâre beautifulâŚâ you whispered before he tilted his head back, exposing his neck.Â
You hesitated a moment before kissing his neck and slowly moving your tongue in small circles. âWell? Are you gonna bite me or not?â He whispered.Â
You smiled and sank your fangs into his neck, drawing a small amount of blood. He gasped and then went limp as you slowly sucked his blood. He let out a tiny moan and clawed your back. âA-am I going to become like you?â
You drew back and licked the blood from his neck and your lips. âI would never make you endure this curse, never being able to step into the light of the sun, always wanting blood, always starving. Food is good yes, but in order for me to live I need blood, I could never turn you into a monster like meâŚâ
Lindir placed his lips on yours. âIâll gladly give my blood if it means youâll stay alive.â
You frowned. âLindir, I need more than just a taste to survive, I need much moreâŚâ
His eyes widened. âIt was you! You killed the cattle horses and sheep! Y-you drained them of their blood you your a-aâŚâ
âMonster?â
He shook his head. âIâll find you food, but you canât go killing the animals.â
âLindir I didnât want to kill them I was starving! If I didnât drink their blood I would die.â
He gently placed his finger over your lips. âAs I said before, I will find you food, donât worryâŚâ
You smiled and gently sank your teeth into his neck once more, only taking a little, you didnât want to weaken him from taking too much blood.Â
Lindir sank to his knees and you fallowed him, taking his blood as slowly as you could, enjoying every drop.Â
You heard metal scraping and you looked up to see lord Elrond standing with his sword drawn and wide eyed. âStep away from him.â
You retracted your fangs from Lindirâs neck and he fell limp in your arms.Â
Elrondâs eyes widened even more when he saw the blood on Lindirâs neck, it slowly trickled down.Â
âYou better pray he isnât dead or the death I give to you will be slow and painful, you wretched monster.â
Tears pricked your eyes and you clutched Lindir close, using the body of the elf you loved as a shield.Â
âLet go of him.â
âAnd expose my body as an easy target do you think Iâm mad?â
Elrond glared. âWell you obviously arenât in your right mind thatâs for certain.â
Lindirâs eyes fluttered open and he looked up at you, his hand slowly landing on your cheek. âY/n, you didnât have to bite me so hard, you know that, right?â
You looked down at him and the tears in your eyes fell, hitting his cheek.Â
He sat up and gently wiped away the tears. âHey Iâm alright, you didnât hurt me I promise, I know you would never hurt meâŚâ
âLindir! She just drank your blood doesnât that scare you?!?â Lord Elrond shouted, fearful for Lindirâs health.Â
Lindir looked over and gasped when he saw the sword. âMy lord, please put the sword away, she means no harm.â
âShe drank your blood!â
âBecause I let her!â
âYou what?â Elrond asked, sword falling from his grasp.Â
Lindir rose and you did as well. âShe was starving, she knew she couldnât keep going after our livestock so she came to me for help, and I knew what had to be done,â Lindir looked at you. âSometimes we have to make a sacrifice for the ones we loveâŚâ
You blushed and looked away. âLindir,â you murmured trying to hide the redness in your cheeks.Â
Elrond looked between the two of you and sighed. âLindir do you really love and trust her?â
Lindir looked at you, gently cupping your face in his hands. âYes, I do.â
You smiled and hugged him, burying your face in his chest as you slowly took in his scent.Â
Lord Elrond picked up his sword, sheathed it and walked to the door. âOh, and y/n,â he said, pausing in the doorway. âI would recommend finding another food source, the livestock is running lowâŚâ
You buried your face further into Lindirâs chest, inhaling deeply. âIâll find a wayâŚâ
-.-.-
One hundred years later, all of Rivendell knew your secret and none of them hated you. In fact, you became a guardian of Rivendell, Gandalf had found a way for you to spend small periods of time in the sunlight and you used that time wisely, scouting for any dangers and hunting down wild animals. There were so many right outside of Rivendell they you didnât have to kill them. You only took a little from each, so both you and they survived.Â
As for LindirâŚ
âCome on! Jump!â The little elfling shouted.Â
You shook your head as your husband plunged into the water along with your twins a boy and a girl. âLindir,â you said smiling and shaking your head. âI had twins, not tripletsâŚâ
Lindir swam over to the dock and pulled himself up. âCome on, itâs a perfect day for a swim!â And with that he pulled you into the water.Â
Your children were blessed. They were half vampire, meaning they drank blood yes, but it wasnât essential for them to live. They could stay in the sun much longer than you, they just burnt easily.Â
You splashed Lindir. âThatâs for pulling me in!âÂ
Yes your life had turned out the be great in all the right spots.Â
âCannonball!â Elrohir shouted with his twin brother, Elladan right behind. Very few could tell them apart and your family was amongst those few. Even though they were over two thousand years old, they still behave like children at times.Â

Elf Reader x self-harm elf pt two. (Legolas & Thranduil)
You walked up to and grabbed Legolasâ hands. âSit down, youâve been overworking yourself for days.â
he shook his head. âIâm fine, y/nâŚâ
His voice and face told the truth but you could see the lie in his eyes.
âLegolasâŚâ you began, gently rubbing your thumbs over his fingers. âYouâre not fine⌠whatever is the matter?â
he pulled his hand away and tucked a stray hair behind his ear and your eyes widened when you saw the little cuts on his wrists.
you grabbed his hand and pulled up his sleeve. âOh LegolasâŚwhy?â
he looked away with tears in his eyes. âI donât belong hereâŚâ
âwhat?â
he looked over at Gimli as he Daugherty at one of Maryâs jokes. âEven Gimli fits in better than I doâŚâ
âno LegolasâŚâ
âand besides. No one really wants me here.â
âthat isnât true.â
âEy, sheâs right lad, your wanted here.â Gimli said, suddenly appearing next to you both.
âby who?â
âme!â You and Gimli both cried at the same time.
âwhat?â Legolas asked.
âwho else is gonna save me from people who want to cut off me head?â Gimli asked referring to the incident with the riders of Rohan.
âAnd your important for this mission.â
Legolas crossed his arms.
you looked down. âAnd I⌠love youâŚâ you whispered but you knew his ears picked it up.
âyou do?â
you nodded and he smiled. âI love you tooâŚâ
you knocked on the door to Thranduilâs room before opening it.
ây/n, how many times must I tell you to wait for an answer before opening the door go out and try again.â
you blushed and backed out of the room when you suddenly saw blood on Thranduilâs hand. You walked closer. âYour bleedingâŚâ
He gave you a cold look. âI told you to go out and close the door.â He seethed as he gave you a glance from his chair.
By now youâd gotten used to his sudden mood swings. You gently took his hand and looked at his wrist before gasping and covering your mouth in shock. âThranduil, why are you doing this?â
He gave you an even colder look. âI told you too leave-â he paused as you gently cupped his face in your hands.
âWhy would you want to hurt yourself?â
he looked away. âThatâs none of your concernâŚâ
you frowned. âYou know this just makes me want too-â
âwant to what?!â
you knew this could go rather way but you had to try. You bent down and drew closer. âWant tooâŚâ you placed your lips on his and whatever he was going to say next turned into a sound of shock and pleasure. He pressed his lips into yours as he stood, towering over you as he kissed back.
when you pulled away his scowl was replaced with a beautiful smile. âThank you, y/nâŚâ
Iâm basing this story after a short I saw here it is if yâall want a peak:
It was the big night. You stood before your mirror, adjusting your dress and putting on your crown before heading out to find your father. Your dress swayed as you walked up to your Lindir and your father.Â
âIâm ready.âÂ
Lindir gave you a smile. âLady Y/n, you look lovely.â
You blushed at the compliment. âI-thank you, Lindir⌠and how many times must I tell you just to call me y/n?â
âAt least once more, my lady.âÂ
Your father smiled. âLindir, please take y/n to the ballroom I shall be there in a momentâŚâ
You linked your arm with Lindirâs and he looked away, smiling slightly.Â
The two of you entered the large room and you were immediately met by a tall charming elf. âLady y/n, a pleasure.âÂ
You inwardly groaned as he asked for a dance but being too shy to say no you reluctantly agreed.Â
You gave Lindir a goodbye look before dancing with the elf.Â
Lindir stood, watching you with a frown. He began fantasizing about him being the one who had his hands on your waist as you danced.Â
âShe likes you, you know,â a voice said, pulling him out of his fantasies.Â
âWhat?â Lindir asked, looking over at Lord Elrond.Â
Elrond pored a glass of wine and looked over at Lindir. âItâs not hard to see. Youâve worked with me for many years. I can tell you fell the same towards her,â he said before lifting the glass to his lips.Â
Lindir stood silently as lord Elrond began to talk with another elf.Â
You appeared next to Lindir. âHeâs awful, all he can think of is himself.â
Lindir looked over at you. âIâm sorry,â he whispered.Â
âBut heâs nowhere near as bad as this oneâŚâ you groaned as a stuck-up elf walked towards you. You looked at Lindir before grabbing his hands. âCome on, dance with meâŚplease?â
He nodded. âI-I sureâŚâ
You blushed madly and smiled. âThank you, LindirâŚâ you whispered.Â
His grip on your body tightened the slightest bit. Your breath stoped as you realized youâd never had such a good time with anyone else.Â
Lord Elrond returned to where heâd left Lindir and looked around confused when he couldnât find him. A smile adorned his face when he saw you laugh as Lindir said something and spun you around.Â
You both stoped and Lindir bowed. âThank you, my lady.â
You smiled and gently tilted his chin up. âThe thanks is mineâŚâ
Lindir placed his hand on the back of his neck and looked away before walking off.Â
You smiled and shook your head as Lindir walked up to your father, saying something you couldnât hear.Â
Suddenly, your waist was roughly grabbed and you were pulled into a dance. So you ended up having to dance with him anyways. Great.Â
âSeems you had the courage to ask her for a dance?âÂ
Lindir blushed. âI-IâŚâ he looked at his feet and sighed. âNo I didnâtâŚâ
âWhatever do you mean?â Elrond asked, siping his wine.Â
âShe⌠asked meâŚâ
Elrond almost choked on the wine and looked over at Lindir. âShe asked you?â
Lindir couldnât meet his lordâs eyes. âY-yesâŚâ
A thoughtful look came over Elrondâs face. âI never thought sheâd have the courageâŚâ
Lindir sighed, a dreamy look on his eyes. âI wish it hadnât ended so soonâŚâ
Elrond looked over to lindir and sighed. âLindirâŚI give you my permission to court herâŚif you wish to peruse her.â
Lindirâs eyes went huge. âBut my lord, Iâm not of a noble decentâŚâ
âNo, but youâd make her happy⌠I leave it up to you, lindirâŚâ
Lindir blinked a few times, nervously thinking about what that would mean for you, for him, for both of youâŚ
Elrond watched Lindir as he thought before walking off. Tears pricked his eyes. You were his youngest child and because of that you were babied constantly. It was odd to think that you may end up courting someone before the rest of your siblings-well Arwen was pretty much being courted by Aragorn.Â
You tried to maintain yourself as you danced with the snobby elf that held you a little too tightly.Â
Heâd pulled you out of the ballroom and to a balcony.Â
âI donât think we should be out here.âÂ
He pulled you to his chest. âWhy? Would you rather be somewhere even more secluded, baby?â
âI am not your âbabyâ!â You growled.Â
Your father heard your distressed voice and went to investigate.Â
Suddenly, you were being dipped and he was about to kiss you. You knew you had only one option, let yourself fall to the floor.Â
Elrond was fuming and went to stop the madness when Lindir beat him to it.Â
You let yourself fall and someone swept you up before you hit the ground, spinning you in his arms. Lindir. You blushed as he held you bridal style.Â
âHey! What gives?!â The elf growled.Â
Lindir placed you back on your feet but held your body to his chest as the tall elf crossed his arms and looked down at you both.Â
Lindir took a breath. âIt doesnât take a genius to know that she was not enjoying what you were doing, that is no way to treat a lady.â
You clutched Lindirâs shirt and buried your head in his chest. âL-lindirâŚâ you whimpered, trembling.Â
âYou donât have the right to speak to an elven prince like that you-â
âActually, he does,â Elrond said, cutting him off. âLindir is my right hand and if you disrespect him youâre disrespecting me.â
âI- lord Elrond. I-I donât know I-â
Elrond held up his hand. âIf I ever see you touch my daughter I will not hesitate to act even if that means war.â
Finally coming out of shock, you let out a sob.Â
Lindir looked at you than Elrond. Elrond nodded and lindir pulled you away to another balcony close by but out of ear shot.Â
He sat and you sobbed into his chest. âH-he tried t-toâŚto, oh Lindir it was awfulâŚâ you sobbed.Â
He gently rubbed your back. âY/n, Iâm hereâŚâ
You looked up at him. âNo âladyâ this time?â You asked with a tiny smile.Â
Lindir gently wiped your tears away. âAre you alright? He didnât hurt you did he?â
You shook your head. âOnly scared me.â
Lindir brushed your hair out of your face. âT-thereâs something I wish to sayâŚif youâll allow meâŚâ
You smiled. âYou donât need my permission, speak.â
He took a breath and let it out. âY/nâŚâ he began, looking into your eyes. âI love youâŚâ
Your eyes widened. âY-you love me,â you asked in amazement.Â
Lindir nodded. âI-I doâŚâ
You stood, pulling him to his feet as you did so. âI love you tooâŚâ you whispered, gently pulling on his shirt so you could press your lips on his.Â
Lindirâs arms wrapped gently around your waist, pulling your body close to his.Â
Your fingers got tangled in his hair as the kiss went from soft and sweet to deep and loving.Â
Elrond went to check on the two of you and apologize for not realizing the situation sooner when he stoped dead in his tracks at the entrance to the balcony. Tears of love and joy filled his eyes as you slowly pulled away from the kiss.Â
He watched as suddenly tears filled your eyes and you looked at your feet. âI-is this are we even allowed to-â
Lindir cut you off with a quick and gentle kiss. âYour father has already given me his blessingâŚâ
You smiled and wrapped your arms around him. âOh Lindir⌠thank youâŚâ
âFor what?â
âRescuing me from a fait I wouldnât have escaped on my own. Though I am surprised, Iâve never seen you so bold beforeâŚâ
âWell⌠when it comes to the people I love, boldness is the one thing I donât lack.â
You kissed his cheek. âYes but a small amount of stupidity fallows. I thought he was going to hit youâŚâ
Lindir pulled you to his chest and gently placed his chin on top of your head. âIâd of taken an arrow to keep you from him.â
You smiled and slowly took in his scent before kissing his chest. âShall we go back to the dance floor?â
âDepends⌠whoâs the one dancing with you if we do?â
You chuckled. âYou of corse.â
Elrond cleared his throat. âActually, Iâd like one dance with my daughter then sheâs yours for the night, LindirâŚâ
You and Lindir looked at one another than your father. âDealâŚâ
Your father led you to the dance floor and you looked up at him with a smile. âAda, I love himâŚâ
Elrond smiled at you. âI know you do, Iâve seen it for years now.â
âAre you ok?â You asked as his eyes became watery.Â
Elrond smiled as a tear rolled down his cheek. âY/n, I just want you to know that no one is ever good enough for your little girl until suddenly⌠thereâs one person that you realize is, Iâve known him for years and there is no one Iâd trust more than him to be by your side.â
You smiled. âHeâs incredible, Iâve no doubt of thatâŚâ
Elrond gently kissed your forehead as the dance ended. âMy little girl isnât little anymoreâŚâ
You gently wiped the tears from his face. âI love you, AdaâŚâ
Elrond smiled. âI love you too, y/n,â he whispered before spinning you around and leaving you in Lindirâs arms.Â
âWell? What did he say?â Lindir asked.Â
You smiled. âHe said thereâs no one he trusts to have me more than youâŚâÂ
Lindir smiled at those words. âI love you⌠I always willâŚâ
imagine: Lindir going to you because he canât sleepâŚ
(Iâm changing Elrondâs family tree just a wee đ¤Â bitâŚ)
Lindir lay in bed, staring at the sealing. Heâd tried to fall asleep for over two hours now. He just couldnât sleep. Not after what he had seen earlier. It was something he wished he hadnât seen. You gently kissing lord Elrondâs son, Elladan, on his cheek. He stood and put a black cloak on over himself and went to your chambers.Â
You were packing back and forth, speaking to Elladan. âHeâs just a friend, Iâm not-â
You paused when you heard a knock.Â
âY/n? You awake?â
You immediately recognized it as Lindirâs voice. You opened the door. âWhat is it Mellon?â
He sighed, fidgeting with his cloak. âCan we talk?â
You nodded and let him in as Elladan hid in the closet (no pun intended). âWhat is it?â
He sighed, gently grabbing your hand. âItâs⌠complicated.â
You raised an eyebrow.Â
He sighed and began to talk a mile a minute. âI love you, y/n which I know I shouldnât say because you and prince Elladan are together but I fell ill never sleep if I didnât get it off my chest Iâm sorry I-I know I shouldnât have said-â
He quit rambling when you burst into laughter and Elladan âfellâ out of the closet, wheezing.Â
Lindir looked terribly hurt by Elladanâs sudden appearance and your laughter.Â
âOh, Lindir, sheâs my cousin⌠once removed on her fatherâs sideâŚâ Elladan said.Â
Lindir looked at the two of you greatly confused. You chuckled. âKing Elros, lord Elrondâs brother, was my grandfather,â you explained. âManwendil was my father and he married my mother, an elf who chose a mortal life but I-I didnât want that- a mortal life- and after exploring every corner of middle earth that I could I came here to settle for a while.â
Lindir was a pink mess now and Elladan winked at you and made kissy faces before leaving.Â
You rolled your eyes before looking at lindir and smiling.. âYouâre quite cute when youâre flusteredâŚâ you whispered, slowly walking to him.Â
Lindir backed away and you drew nearer until you had lindir pressed between you and the wall. You intertwined your fingers with his before pinning his hands on ether side of his head. âWellâŚâ you began trying to seem disappointed. âI was hoping youâd be a gentlemen and kiss meâŚâ
He turned even more red and looked away. âI-IâŚâ he met your eyes for a second. âI can do tha-â
You pressed your lips on his. âYou take to longâŚâ
His slipped his hands from your grasp and put them on your hips, pulling you even closer which you didnât know was possible.Â
You smiled and kissed him repeatedly, pulling off his cloak and unbuttoning his night shirt so you could get to his collarbone, nipping it gently.Â
How you ended up laying on top of him on the bed you didnât know but that didnât matter all you wanted was to continue kissing him, watching as he moaned and arched his back.Â
-.-.-
You woke in Lindirâs arms the blankets still beneath you both. You nuzzled closer nipping at his shoulder since his shirt had slipped off it. He opened his eyes and smiled before pinning you on the bed and getting on top of you. He paused and looked at you, asking for permission to do to you what youâd done to him last night.Â
You nodded and he unbuttoned the first two battens on your shirt and then he stoped, placing his hand over a scar just below your collarbone. You put your arms around his neck and pulled him to you so your lips met. âGoblinsâŚâ you mumbled, referring to the scar. âIâve got plenty more.â
âWhy didnât you make it vanish like the rest of our kind do?â
You kissed him again. âBecause they tell a storyâŚâ
He smiled and slid off you so he could be positioned next to you. âYouâre beautifulâŚâ he whispered, kissing your cheek.Â
You smiled and smashed your lips to his, slowly rubbing your tongue over his bottom lip. He opened his mouth and you slipped your tongue in.Â
-.-.-
Lindir had fixed his shirt and was now brushing your hair so he could braid it for you. You had already put a few simple braids into his hair, his cheeks and the tips of his ears pink the whole time.Â
Lindir set the brush aside and began to braid your hair.Â
Then there was a voice. âY/n have you seenâŚlindirâŚâÂ
The two of you looked over to see lord Elrond standing in the doorway in shock as lindir held the nearly completed braid in his hands.Â
âA-are you twoâŚâ
You and lindir looked at one another before realizing what youâd just done. Braiding someoneâs hair meant you were either family or⌠âyes we areâŚâ you said, realizing it at the same time lindir did.Â
Elrond smiled. âLindir, take the day off, looks like you need itâŚâ
Lindir finished braiding your hair as his face began to redden again. âSo I guess we began courting without realizing-â
Your lips cut him off. âShhhâŚâÂ
He smiled and pulled your body closer. âI love youâŚâ
