i'm trying to figure out why the newer breeds have looked off to me, even if i like their designs. something about them feels flatter to me - less gradients maybe? simpler forms? idk.
#the vigils' body and wings. the thorntail's head and tail.#and because they look flatter to me it i get lost in the design easier#but it's hard to make a comparison in that sense either#because while i THINK i have an easier time understanding what i am looking at with a skydancer because the#art direction is stronger..... can't rule out the fact that i've been staring at skydancers for a billion years now either#ho hum.
