I didn’t the first time because I only had like 3 crew members left (My first playthrough was terrible) and because she died I had to replay the whole game again because I couldn’t bear it.
See that's sort of a legit reason though. It's hard to recruit her if she's, yanno, dead.

You know what they should do before ME4? Do a rerelease of ME1 like they did with Halo. Improve the graphics,game play, and stuff.
