The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him. The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy. Psalms 147:11 NKJV Blessed be the name of the Almighty God ! The subject verse from the Book of Psalms teaches us the about the godly fear. The dictionary meaning of fear is "an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm." But the godly fear is something that comes out of love and reverence for the Almighty God. Those who has this godly fear, shall always do what God likes and hate what He hates. And our turning away from the evil and wickedness that exists in this world, does surely delights the Lord. Our delight in Him and our efforts to please Him is acknowledged in our lives. For the Bible says when we delight in the Lord then He shall give us our desires. Delight yourself also in the Lord , And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4 NKJV As the second part of the verse, He takes pleasure also in those who put their hope in the mercy of the God. Yes, for all those people who trust the Almighty God and put their faith in Him shall never fail to receive His grace and mercies. For God's grace and mercies are afresh every morning.
