Sorry for the long post, but I put them like this because otherwise if they were side-by-side, some people might right to read them across. Maybe I should switch to a horizontal panel style. :/
But yeah, a short 3 page comic about Double Souls and Lan's strange adventures. He's a magnet for trouble. :P
An aside, the whole "talk in the park" thing was from my Maddy and Match story. Basically Match finally decides to be a good person, and Lan happens to make sure he gets a push in the right direction.
Anyways, I think I may want to refine my toon style a bit more? Maybe? I realize the way I draw hands is still kinda… realistic? Accurate? Which kinda clashes with the style. And it's like, very off-putting as a result, lol.
Or at least it feels that way to me. And it only really happens because my mind is like "No! The hands are wrong, use more accuracy and refs!!" which ends up overcorrecting it. Well, anyways, some practice is clearly in order. :u

Up next for the week of “Didn’t you already do this?” Well, yes I did, in a Stream batch. But this outfit was also actually in an Axess batch, and unlike the one from 7 months ago, this one has his crest drawn on the shoulder patch. Yep, that’s it. Only difference on this version is a flame and a couple notes mentioning it.

I had the colors for this finished by the time I decided to try and get the rest of my Maddy and Match cover arts done within the year. So decided to just use gradients for simplified shading/lighting.
Anyways, yeah, Match and his Navis and food!! :D
I'm sure you could convince Match to do nail painting like this as long as fire and fire patterns are involved, lol

Personal funny headcanon time! We all know Match in the anime dub has one of those "exaggerated Scottish accent done by a non-Scottish person". I ended up playing on that here, the idea in this comic is that he's mostly Japanese as far as he knows. His accent came from an ancestor who really was from Scotland, but from there the accent kept getting 'passed down' over generations in his family. If that makes sense? Honestly I just think this kind of idea is fun to explore lol
