PART 02: MINI SHIPPER

> he was born to a mother addicted to drugs (who also had a taste for alcohol) & completely unprepared for taking care of one kid, let alone twins. the first eight years of his life revolved around cps showing up, taking him away, & his mother earning custody back - only for the process to repeat. it ended only because ronan found her dead of an overdose when he was eight. but after that, he spent the rest of his childhood in the foster system, failing to ever end up with people who wanted to actually keep him, & constantly fighting to stay with his brother rather than be separated.

> ronan & his brother were on their own at eighteen, & he never finished high school (having dropped out his junior year). he struggled working dead end jobs, & already struggled with his own developing drug addiction (slowly transforming into a very similar version of his mother). he’d been dealing drugs since he was fourteen, & by time he was twenty he’d ended up working as an escort just to keep a roof over their heads (even if that roof was falling apart).

> he’s extremely slow to ever trust anyone, & refuses to ever tell his secrets (the most anyone knows about his past is that his mother died & he grew up in the foster system). it doesn’t help that his social skills are flat out awful, & quite frankly, he just doesn’t care anyways. ronan’s typically more of a “wallflower” type, & typically on the quieter side - always intense, always watching, always picking up on things from his position on the outskirts. he only socializes when he feels the need to, which isn’t very often. & since he struggles significantly to make friends, he doesn’t see much use in even trying.

> it doesn’t help that he’s got anxiety issues, which affect his ability to interact with people & form even the slightest friendships. but, he covers that up with his callous, blatant facade that he puts up - along with the never-ending sass that constantly spills from his mouth. he copes with everything by using drugs (cocaine is his poison), to the point where he’s essentially always high & has absolutely no idea how to function without them. without drugs, he doesn’t know how to stop the panic attacks or stop himself from completely shutting down for long periods of time. the only other thing that helps is sex - but that’s something which has ceased to be pleasurable for him (at this point, he only knows how to be a thing for people to get off on, & has forgotten what it’s like to actually have sex that he enjoys).

> but when he does manage to relax around someone, he starts to change a little. deep, deep down, he’s a rather bubbly, childish adult who grew up too fast & never got to be a kid. he can get excited easily, & loves to joke (he’d be a great class clown). but few people only see very small portions of this, & only two or three people will ever see this part of him completely. once he does make a friend though, he’s loyal to a fault, & would kill for the very few people he genuinely cares for. while he is selfish, he’s actually utterly selfless for those very few people, & would go as far as sacrificing his own life for them. (though the value he puts on his own life is very little, & the four overdoses he’s had in the past seven years are arguably partial suicide attempts - not that he’d ever admit that.)

PART 03: FUTURE REQUESTS

request 01: escorts

> long story short, the other escorts that ronan “works” with - all males, all under twenty five (perhaps there’s one or two over twenty five who look younger - as though they’re in their very early twenties). also, i’ll be requesting the guy who “owns” the “company” (as if it’s even legal) - a guy who really doesn’t give a shit about anything except making money. the escorts get sent to clients (almost always male clients who are on the wealthier side - & essentially always clients who are looking for sex) & are expected to do whatever the client wants - the only time they don’t have to is if what they’re told to do by the client will land them in jail or in the hospital. the “boys” typically don’t interact much with each other outside of their jobs, since forming friendships together is discouraged by their “boss” (& ends up always serving as an uncomfortable reminder of their job).

request 02: misfit friend group

> so this last one is just a fun potential idea i like to do considering ronan actually has very few genuine friends. basically the few genuine friends he would have would be part of a misfit friend group - basically a group of people around 19-26 who ended up in a group through just... meeting various members of the group throughout their childhood & bonding. all of them (except perhaps one, maybe two) would come from very rough childhoods, where they spent more time outside of home avoiding it, & banded together as they grew older. at least half of them would’ve known each other before high school, & ronan probably showed up during high school (due to being bounced around the foster system) & ended up in the group. at least a few others would’ve joined the group after high school. they get into trouble regularly, party, drink, have sex, & so on. i’ll explain the dynamics in better detail when the actual request goes up though, because i have much more specific ideas for the dynamics of this group! (the following request’s character would also be part of this group.)
