He realizes what he's done and let's go of your hand. You two are still on the clock, last thing you two need is the possibly getting fired. Even if the wires are off, the driver is another coworker.

"Actually, answer that when we get some ramen when we clock out, money's on me!"

“Y-yeah— alright,”

My eyes quickly shift over to the driver in worry, meeting his eyes in the rearview mirror and feeling my brow twitch at the troubled look on his face. My breath gets caught in my throat hearing him mutter softly when i turn my head to look behind us when i catch a glimpse of it in the mirror. “I think we’re being followed,”

And damn right we’re followed, and— its not even another car, that’s what has my knees buckling. Its— what the hell is that? Someone, some thing— an entity shrouded in darkness, moving at a speed we cannot surpass as it devours whatever is in its ways. I stumble the distance to the crate we kept hidden for emergencies and pull out my notebook, rummaging around to find my pen garter.

“Oh fuck— oh shit, oh god— is that the rogue he mentioned? Oh my— where the fuck is my pen!?”

I screech before finally grabbing hold of it, wrapping it around my thigh in a haste before pulling out a pen and scribbling messily on it to materialize bakugou’s gauntlet and toss it at him.

“You take the sunroof, otherwise your explosions will swerve the car,”

I don’t miss the chance to hide the briefcase in my notebook, fearing the worst as i watch it stare back at me on one of my pages. I try to calm my breath as i watch bakugou poke his head out to watch the rogue, and use that as an opportunity to use a new rune i’ve been practicing as i take the window to the right and scribble on the outside of the car, chanting ‘guard’ as a shiny translucent barrier engulfs the car.
