General Hesker
He was the Empireâs bladeâsharp, loyal, and always pointed forward.
Masterlist
What happened to General Hesker of the Imperial Guard in any of your legacies?
Good question!
During the Battle of Ilum and Malgus' "New Empire" uprising, Hesker represented the Imperial Guard at the war council on Ilum. He volunteered to pilot a strike team to the Emperor's Fortress to topple Malgus.
Unfortunately for Hesker, there was a dispute as to who would command the strike team. (Zu'fanda Pampya, aka Darth Nox, believed that she should command. This did not sit well with Kael Nosrol Krannus, aka the Emperor's Wrath.)
This led to several hours of back and forth bickering, while Hesker was literally sitting in the pilot seat, waiting to take off.
(He was not having a good time.)
Then disaster - while the Sith were bickering in the absence of their true Emperor - a recurring theme throughout the story - a Republic strike team penetrated the Fortress and (reportedly) slew Darth Malgus.
This left everyone with ill-feeling, especially when it was determined that the Empire could not maintain its foothold on Ilum. Hesker and the Empire retreated.
A year later, the string of failures and Vitiate's continued absence were starting to diminish the Imperial Guard's fearsome reputation.
To rectify this, a contingent of the Guard, including Hesker and Calum, formed the vanguard of the Empire's first assault on Oricon during the Dread War.
The assault was a disaster. Although they were fanatically loyal to the Emperor, that fanaticism was used against them by the Dread Masters. Those who weren't turned were killed, including Hesker.
So no happy endings for Hesker! Although i do headcanon that he had a friends-with-benefits relationship with Calum, the guy in Belsavis who sends you to free the Dread Masters in the first place.
Thanks for the ask!
Second prompt for @skarpetkamroku, âHow long have you been standing there?â / âLonger than youâd like.â  Kryn/Hesker, on Corellia.
Andrus Hesker stares balefully into the mirror, glowering at his stubbornly uncooperative hair. Â As if that werenât enough, heâd damn near fallen over getting dressed (instead stumbling across the room and falling on the bed), one of the straps on his boot broke, and heâd whacked his head on the still-open cabinet door as heâd straightened from inspecting and swearing at his boot strap.
What in blazes is going on this morning?
The only saving grace to this entire fiasco is that Darth Nox disappeared into the shower shortly before he got up and thus missed discovering that apparently General Andrus Hesker, hero of the Empire, canât fucking dress himself.
Come to think of it, maybe this is just the universe righting things after the extraordinary streak of good luck that was her turning up in his office last night, easy smile and cheerfully bawdy suggestion on her lips after weeks of sidelong glances and not enough time to do anything about them.
Jaw tight with determination, he picks up the gel ⊠only to fumble it.  It drops straight into the sink full of water, soaking the front of his uniform.
Fuck today. Â Heâs calling in sick to the war.
âAre you having a hard time this morning, General?â
Nox, gloriously naked, leans nonchalantly against the âfresher doorway set in the far wall, braiding still-damp tresses and looking far too amused for his liking.
âHow long have you been standing there?â Â The words are out of his mouth before he can stop them.
She bites her lower lip, though she canât quite hide her amusement. Â âLonger than youâd like, I think. Â You appear to be far better at removing clothing than putting it on.â Â This time she doesnât bother to camouflage her smirk. Â âI find that a plus, personally, but I suppose the moffs you have to meet with might not. Â Would you like some assistance?â
âI suppose that depends.â Â He might as well salvage something from this catastrophe. Â âIs this assistance rendered before or after you get dressed?â
Nox grins outright. Â âIâm amenable to either, but I do believe you have a meeting this morning and are running short on time. Â We hardly have time to wait for me to get dressed, donât you think?â
