“You first, and maybe I’ll do the same.”
"Frankie. Bud. We talked bout this. When I say somethin's important, an it's ta keep ya safe, ya can not like it all ya want, but ya need to do what I say then, an grumble at me about it later. Get in the car, Please." It might have been phrased as a request, but it very much was not.
"Come oooon, Ollie! I'm boooored!" the teen complained, twirling an arrow around his fingers. "Let's hit the town or at least shoot some arrows," Francis added as he aimed the arrow in his hand towards Oliver. Not that he planned on throwing it at him and even if he did, he knew Ollie would catch it. (heroprogeny)
Teens were so easily bored and Francis was no exception. He might even for bored quicker, because he had this need to be part of the action. Oliver thought for a moment and then believed he had something to entertain the young one without putting him in danger.
“You haven’t been at the bunker for a while. I’ve made some training ground upgrades. Moving targets on various of speeds and movements. Want to try that out?” He watched him, then at the arrow pointed at him. “Don’t point sharp things at people if you have no intention on using them against them. Put it away, or I won’t show you.” Though it sounded a bit stern, there was a little grin on the archer’s lips.
Since his dad had been reported missing, Francis had sought for him relentlessly. He'd gathered what info he could (ok, so yes, he hacked a computer or two, so what?) and then followed any clue and trace to where his dad could be. That Clint might very likely be dead was something Francis refused to believe. And his tenacity paid off. He hadn't expected to find his dad here and for a second, he froze, then he rushed over. "Dad! Dad, are you okay?" Fear, relief, happiness, all of it rushed over the teen and without realising it, he had begun to cry. (heroprogeny)
“Frankie? Frankie what are you doing here?! Did they get you too?” Clint hissed, sitting up stiffly as he bit back a groan. “Are mom and your brother and sister ok?” He’d been so careful. So, so damn careful, and they’d gotten Laura and the kids anyway. Fuck. “We’re gonna get you, and Mom, and Lila an’ Cooper outta here, ok? It’s gonna. It’s gonna be ok.” He swallowed hard, hugging Francis tight against his chest, one hand on the back of his head, the other firmly around his shoulders. “It’s gonna be ok.”

“Because as much as I love using my sword. I know there will come a day, when I will have to use another weapon. So I cannot fully rely on it.” Torunn answers, hoping it will satisfy Francis enough, to agree to help her. “Will you help me?”

Francis almost didn't believe his eyes. Superman here? Why was he here? There was no one here but Francis. Okay, so maybe he had been doing a tad bit of stealing, but come on, Superman didn't stop teenage thieves. Superman stopped the front page criminals. "You lost or somethin', Supes?" he asked, pushing a wallet further down his pocket, planning to take the money in it and then put the rest in a mailbox. What? He wasn't a completely bad person. (heroprogeny)
( @heroprogeny )
There was always something especially sad about encountering someone so young in a situation like this. He couldn’t imagine any kids falling into that kind of lifestyle willingly -- but it also didn’t change the facts. “I don’t think that belongs to you,” Clark said, gently but firmly. “I’d like you to put the wallet back.”
“You don’t need to tell me everything. I just want to know how I can help.”
(heroprogeny, for Ollie, because I miss these two idiots together and I think I've lost all the threads)
"I know you're a bright kid, too bright for your own good, but you can't help with this. In a stupid moment, a moment of crisis, I signed over my family's company. I only meant it for a day or two. Instead, she took it all, and I lost the company and my money. I got nothing but the nightclub and I don't know what to do."
Have any of your kids picked up a habit from you? Good or bad?
Yes. God. I wish they hadn't, but ehh, kids are little knowledge sponges. That's just how they do. Its our job ta try and have good habits for em to mirror.
In order of PLEASE STOP DOING THAT to 'Dang I'm glad you do that': Francis. My beloved. My sweet son. PLEASE STOP STAYING UP ALL NIGHT AND THEN CHUGGING ENERGYDRINKS/COFFEE. PLEASE. LEARN FROM YOUR IDIOT FATHER. I BEG YOU. @heroprogeny
Lila. Darling daughter, light of my life. I have told you a bagillion times, counters are for glasses. Not asses. Or dogs. Or frogs. Or whatever other critter you want to put on the counter to show off to me, please. Dear heart, we put food on there. Don't do that.
Cooper. Buddy. Sweet boy. Please please PLEASE. Tie. your. Shoes. I know, it's a stylistic choice. I know, it looks cooler like that. I know you tuck the ends in so you won't trip. But you CAN'T RUN IN THEM. PLEASE. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. TIE. YOUR. SHOES. UGH.
Francis. Sweet son. I am SO DANG GLAD you take the time to go over your kit each and every time you use it, and make sure it's put away right, and you've oiled what needs oiling, and ugh. Such a good thing. I know I probably can't take credit for that one but I'm so proud of you for doing it anyway. That's. . .Those are kinda the only ones I've really noticed? I'm sure there's others, but I'm having a moment, and it's summer vacation. I don't have to brain at the moment.
