A tiny lil Hybrid AU ask for you - which of the Hybrids make the most animal-like noises (ex: meows, barking, hissing, chirps)? Not noises that they make themselves make because they think it's cute, but more involuntary noises. - side note, as always, much love for your writing <3
Kirsch — For the most part, he does it on purpose. Purring, chirping, and cute little mews to try to appeal to anyone who can hear him. When he's legitimately upset, however, the horrible yowls come out. Those are loud, grating, and the exact opposite of the cutesy image he aims for.
Herme — Normally, he doesn't allow any inhuman noises to slip out; that would be undignified, after all. ...and then there's the massive exception that is Iron Days. Herme's self-control erodes so far that he can't stop the frequent, loud shrieking cries of avian misery.
Gras — He doesn't do it on purpose (and hates when they ruin his "proper" image), but when he's upset, the chitters and growls come out all on their own. Those noises can cut into his voice in a very uncanny way— that starts sounding downright monstrous when he's angry.
Arisaka — Even when he's not present enough for human speech and reactions, his bird instinct side reflexively kicks in with the chirping. If he's startled, touched without warning, something grabs his attention, etc., peep. The quieter cheeps also serve as a self-soothing habit.
Kentucky — Jack Russells are a noisy breed, and the barking habit carries over. Any excitement gets him yipping and yapping on pure reflex. He feels bad about how annoying the response can be to others, but it's nearly impossible to control the sounds for long.
