What he initially thought was some kind of fucked-up fetish becomes even more disturbing as he realizes that you're serious. There are benefits to it, admittedly. Getting proper care and being kept away from the people who want to use and hurt him is shamefully nice, but it comes at the cost of a lot more isolation. F gets lonely easily without the constant (negative) attention he was used to, and becomes annoyingly clingy and affectionate to cope.

Love1

For someone who relies so heavily on his wits and manipulation skills to get by, this is a nightmare. Not only is it downright offensive that you'd think he's no smarter than an animal, the lack of any means to shape situations in his favor feels dangerous. Love1 plays into the joke at first (it's so ridiculous, he can't help it), but the joking quickly stops as he realizes you're serious. Getting proper care, for once, isn't bad, but these are horrible circumstances for it...

Gras

It's infuriating. He can't charm his way into special favors, can't escape his misery with a good fight or fuck, he's just stuck like this, treated like some overgrown pet. Your little kink was cute enough to indulge at first, but he quickly grows tired of the patronizing treatment and lack of access to human pleasures. Lashing out over it doesn't even get him attention anymore, since you think he's too stupid to know any better. It's awful. He's miserable. He hates this.

Gras

Hates it. If there's any way for him to pry the muzzle off of himself, he's going to figure it out. Being beaten is less miserable than having that thing strapped on his face and then going forgotten until you decide that the punishment is done. Gras despises being ignored, and that's exactly what this feels like— a way to shut him up and force him to behave. He's fighting it every step of the way.

Siegblut

The humiliation of it is by far the most miserable part for him— not so much the physical effects of the muzzle as the knowledge that he's being bound and gagged like a dumb animal, too stupid to correct through any semi-respectable method, and degraded just to show you have power over him. He'll behave if it means getting the muzzle off faster, but he'll also hold a grudge about it for ages after.

Love1

The worst part of the muzzle, by far, is if it limits his ability to speak. Love1 relies on his words to get him out of all kinds of tricky situations, and being forced into silence is terrifying. He can't use his wits like this. He can't protest himself. He's helpless, and frantically counting down the minutes until the punishment is over and you'll take the muzzle off. You've given him a new thing to fear.

Arisaka

It's both everything he's ever wanted and a whole new form of problem. Gras loves having someone who understands him, someone who has the same violent inclinations and loves the same dangerous, thrilling pursuits. It feels like you're the perfect match for him, and that makes Gras open up a lot more than he initially planned. It's concerningly easy to trust you when you enable his every impulse and allow him to get away with so much more than he ever would have on his own. You actually seem to understand why he's the erratic, emotional disaster that's made everyone else come to hate him, and yet, you're still not pulling away. You're not disgusted or angry. You accept him the way he is, and even enjoy the parts of him that he's always believed were unlovable.

Gras finds himself opening up to you before he can stop himself. He should know better, but you make it so easy. You roll with the punches no matter what he does wrong. And all of that trust opens up a whole new terror— the fear of losing someone he's actually come to care about. If something happened to you, he'd feel your absence in a way he's never had to experience before. It's terrifying, but you don't flinch away even when that makes him lash out.

Normally, he'd assume you mean that in a sexual sense— he's your favorite fuck, your favorite toy to use, something along those lines. He's certainly heard those lines before. Context included, however, the affection is painfully foreign. You don't really mean that, do you? Could you really look at his ruined self and see something worth the effort to love? F dodges the compliment with a flirtatious, giddy thanks, hoping that politeness will spare him any further discussion. He... needs some time to process this later, alone.

Siegblut

Prepare for a flustered dismissal at best. Siegblut isn't good at accepting affection, even in more subtle forms. Outright hearing that he's your favorite has something in his chest pulling all tight and painful, like a stab at his surprisingly delicate heart. He longs for that kind of praise and approval more than anything, but actually facing it feels like humiliation waiting to happen. If he takes the bait and lets his happiness show, surely, you'll just yank it away and make fun of him. It's never that easy to have good things.

Gras
