we did it babeyyyyyyy agent says we're good to send the final draft to publisherssssss [opens 12 champagne bottles] oh man oh fuck. this is my first time doing this since my previous book was sent in response to a specific call for novellas. back then i had no agent and didn't shop my novella around - i just sent it over and it was accepted by the publisher. but now! this is about a WHOLE ASS FANTASY NOVEL! (115k.... my goodness...)
i just wrote a commercial pitch for it and i haaaaate writing commercial pitches so you're getting the non-commercial version instead:
this novel is about a seven-foot-tall union rep who has to chainsmoke or she dies. this novel is about a line cook with a cool leather jacket who owns a flying car and won't stop smiling. this novel is about a staggeringly beautiful kink pope trying to keep his job. this novel is about a hurricane who follows people around. and it's catching up.
