This summer has all been about making liqueurs. This is the summer that I discovered the wonders of holy basil. I've been drinking a tissane made of it every day and I also made some holy basil flavored vodka to play with. I'm also making an herbal liqueur from the herb garden at the community garden. I just took a little of each thing that we were growing and also a few things that I had here like Tonka beans, vanilla beans and shisandra berries. I'm going to let that one macerate another couple of months before I tinker with it.
