âI think the opportunity in being an artist is to heal the worldâŚand I now thatâs such a huge thing to say, but weâre all retelling the same stories. So, how can we tell these stories so that people can empathize with others? My response to the world is to create.â Carmen LoBue is a proud intersectional feminist and artist who is passionate about creating stories that give voice to social and political injustice. â I created HERassment for everyone. At first I thought, I want to create this for my younger sister who 9 thinking she might need a show like this when sheâs 13. But then I thought, I have a younger brother too and he DEFINITELY needs this. Thats when I realized that no matter who you are, youâre going to experience some form of harassment. Weâve all been made to feel like an outsider at some point in our lives. Iâve been bullied, harassed, assaulted, and alienated at various stages of my lifeâŚBut I know Iâm not the only one. What I want to know isâŚWhy does this happen? And at what point do some of us decide consciously or unconsciously that being a perpetrator is acceptable?â Carmen is a Director, Writer, Actor and Producer residing in NYC.
