Some days, it really are the little things that mean the most. This was my son's prize from the summer reading program at our local library he earned last week. They have gift cards for eating out or bowling and such but every week he goes right for the plastic treasure chest filled with cheap toys. He's five. A squishy foam hot air balloon is a Big. Deal. 🎈 He brought it to me a couple of days ago and said I could have it for a couple of days if I wanted it and put it by my bed. Yesterday as I was making my bed and tidying my room I spied it and added it to a basket of toys in the next room without much thought. He came upon it later and brought it to me, wondering how it had gotten there. I told him I thought he would want it back. "But I said you could have it for a while!" he declared adamantly then put it back by my bed. Honestly, I forgot about it then saw it as I was getting into bed tonight, and the thought entered my mind, 'Man, that little boy loves me!' To give me a prize he worked for and earned ~ and is currently a favorite toy. And it's mutual. He actually played with it so much the first day he ripped it. And instead of throwing it out I glued it. I felt ridiculous doing it but it made his day and earned me hug after joyful hug. As moms, we often do silly little things out of tremendous amounst of #love 💓 It truly is the little things. Motherhood is hard and there are days you question everything. Henry is five and doesn't really need a #sippycup but I still really like them for #onthego. We ordered these silicone cup tops with a straw a couple of weeks ago from @mightynest and the #purple one on his favorite @greatwolflodge cup is on daily repeat practically. These make almost any cup a sippy cup and have worked on any we've tried. They have ones with the actual sippy spout too.
