The early color photography in The Black Pirate (1926) was credited to Henry Sharp. Henry was born in New York City and had 125 cinematography credits from a 1920 documentary short, to 61 with a 1975 posthumous release.
His other notable credits include Ernst Lubitsch's The Marriage Circle (1924), Don Q Son of Zorro, The Crowd, The Iron Mask, Duck Soup, Alice in Wonderland (1933), It's a Gift, The Glass Key, Ministry of Fear, and It Happened on Fifth Avenue.
