Here’s your basic guide to joining a party for the Hypixel event nights. These are all chat commands - type them into the chat and press enter:

Add me as a friend first! (this is not mandatory but is helpful!)  /friend add Unicornly Requests expire after 5 minutes so try to only do it when I’m online.

Accept a friend request (if I add you instead): /friend accept Unicornly

If I’m your friend, and I’m online, you can message me directly! Type  /msg Unicornly [write your message here] Use this to tell me to add you to the party!

Accept a party request: /party accept Unicornly Party requests expire after 60 seconds, so be quick, and be ready!

To toggle chat to party-only: /chat party Party-only chat works even across different lobbies! It’s like a group private message. It’s the best way to chat.

To toggle it off (and go back to all-player chat), type /chat a

You can leave a party at any time using /party leave

I will be able to control the whole party, and to choose the games we go to. This will take everyone in the party to our own minigame server; outsiders will fill up any empty spaces. I don’t know what happens if we have more players than can fit in a minigame! We’ll see.

After each game, it seems to kick people out to random places. As the party leader, I have a chat command which teleports everyone to the same lobby - I will probably use this in between games.

The party expires when no one is left online, so we’ll have to re-band each day there’s an event. This is why it’s best to add me as a friend!
