Today, June 8th is my birthday- which for all my life also marked the halfway mark until my dad's birthday on December 8th.
On April 3rd, my dad- one of the light pillars of my universe- was in a car accident and died.
So that little tradition I used to mark time between his birthday and mine, is now a reminder that he won't have another birthday. That I will keep aging and he is physically gone from my side.
And while I'm grateful for another turn around the sun, his absence is just harder to deal with today of all days.
I survived when WinterIron had less than a 100 fics. I can make it until Red One has more than two pages to choose from.
(also people take shit WAY too serious. Red One is a fun movie, stop listening to others and form your own opinions after you consume it.)
If I weren't so burned out I would dive deep into IWTV ( I read the books in my teen years) and how delicious the show's takes are.

So it has been a long long time since I gallivanted around these parts. The stress of adulthood plus all the freaking pre-established pressures plus...2020, should I say more?
Anyway! Most of you know me for my love of WInterIron (which remains, burning like a sun in the distance,) my never-ending fight with McDanno (and ohhhhhh my rage is true at the last minute of the show. Just that last scene, LAWD.) My burning simping when it comes to Lucifer (though I don't really talk about it much.)
I could stay all night talking about the many fandoms I've been part of over the years but I wanted to finally drag all my BnHA feelings into the open wires of the internet. Becase Yes, I'm LATE to this party, my friends have been nerding out for years and it took me until this dumpster fire of a year to get into it. I think the last anime I was this heavily into was Bleach, many years ago. And I watched Seven Deadly Sins because BAN (Hello! Need I say more?)
It just feels good to be able to sit and type on my computer. I guess there is more to talk about but I'm still regaining my footing after an overwhelming year, after working myself to the bone and beyond my emotional limit. It just feels good to talk about anything.

I have the @tonystarkbingo squares to fill, my @winterironbang works to finish, Chapter 6 of A Stark Silence (@dfreeleopard thinking of you!) and I'm thinking of Ride to California (inspired by an AU-prompt blog) and Backfire, that has been sitting in the draftbox for 2 years (@jay345sal28 knows about this one) that's without counting the endless supplies of AU's with @dreamcatchersdaughter (Tattoo AU amongst the pile), the ones I throw at @rayshippouuchiha and @journeythroughtherain (Tony retires AU is a dream)
