Mads woke up with shockingly purple hair and a nose that was eerily familiar for the handful of minutes it took to place. His appearance hardly ever changed without his explicit intent at this point, the only exceptions being while he slept and in moments when emotions overruled logic. Humming quietly in thought as he sat perched on the sinks of the Ravenclaw dormitory, studying himself in the mirror, Madsā expression broke into a grin. If his dream-self deigned to reshape his nose into that of one Professor Armaud Rossignol, well, it was clearly a sign.Ā
It took only seconds of concentration to turn into an identical copy of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, and an extra handful of minutes to place just enough charms on his robes that the Ravenclaw crest disappeared and they lengthened to fit his now taller form. Mads had been told on no uncertain terms that impersonating Hogwarts staff was both against the rules and fairly rude. Mads had been told this more than once, and was something of a serial professor impersonator. But Mads also wanted to have a bit of fun.Ā
Luckily, the rush to breakfast was at itās height, and the corridors held a steady stream of students heading to the Great Hall. Mads strolled down the halls in a slightly over-exaggerated interpretation of Armand's stride, and he struggled to hold back a pleased grin as he located his target.Ā
āYou! Yes, you, loitering in the halls whilst you should be in class is explicitly against the rules.ā Mads was an exact copy of the DADA professor, but that didnāt mean he was very talented at mimicking voices. And yet, what he lacked in that ability he made up for in enthusiasm, tutting and striding over to the other student, eyes narrowing dramatically. āThatāll be 50 points from your house. Get to class, you degenerate, lazy child. I despair for the future of the world if the entirely of this new generation lacks motivation to this horrendous degree.ā He finished his speech with an almost wistful sigh. That it was breakfast and therefore classes werenāt meeting went unmentioned.Ā
