Hayden is a Very Special Boy.
Mostly because practically every aspect of his existence is just Prime Fuel for angst and hurt-(little-to-no)-comfort

red doesn’t so much as have a bed as have a nest
it’s just what she likes
she can absolutely fall asleep wherever and has more than once been found sleeping sprawled out along tree limbs
but she prefers her main sleeping space to be made of stuffed animals and blankets and other soft things and just kinda
nests in it
blake has a bed, but designs and built over the course of several months a basking spot with heating elements and heat lamps and just sprawls out there in what you would swear is uncomfortable
sprawled over fake and real rocks and stuff
but just lays there in the heat because that’s just what he does
hayden just kinda. at first just sort of sleeps in a corner not really sure a bed is a good thing or something he should be using but eventually gets on board with the idea. he kinda prefers red’s nest thing though, but also her nest-bed is like. big. and he’s like.  “that but what if Small” so he actually has more or less a crate he just has a few cushions and a blanket in and he just. likes that.
I wonder if Hayden ever has dreams that are snatches of the lives that made him?
Memories of the lives they’d led, or of the end they met?
He was born from three deaths, after all, and it would be interesting if remnants of those beings remained...

I imagine that sometimes, Hayden just wants everything to stop so he just hides in his room for days at a time.
Leona might be tempted to drag him out and sit him down to something healthy, but Red just waltzes in with a box of Milk-Bones and Blake trailing behind and they just plop on the bed next to him and cuddle him and give him dog treats every so often. He feels better when they do that.
(Red’s very familiar with just needing to shut the world out for a while, and is absolutely down to enable it for a while because as long as he’s not alone he can rest and feel better enough to face everything again in a few days.)
I think one of the funnier things is that I have no idea where Hayden’s speech pattern came from.
Generally, he tends to speak more formal, more polite, almost kind of stilted. Rarely if ever uses contractions, the general construction of his sentences is less casual, etc.
But nobody he hangs around with has that kind of speech pattern, and none of the three beings who’s fragments make him up had that kind of speech pattern, either. It’s just. Kind of.
Something that doesn’t have a real notable source. I have no idea why.
He also is almost never the sort to use slang, and when he does he tends to hesitate.
Like you can tell it’s him because Red would be like “The fuck are you talking about?” and he would be “I’m afraid I do not understand what you are saying.”
(Blake would be “Yeah, I didn’t understand a word of that.”)
You know, Milosk and Hayden would be interesting to see interact if they existed in the same universe because they’re similar in that they both have aspects of demonic influence in their birth, but they’re different in their approaches to what that means about their lives
