The training sword in Tundra's hand freezes and shatters within seconds of the confession. His face remains blank and his posture unchanged, just as he has been trained, but his kryomancy betrays him. It is usually hard for him to imagine Bi-han in a relationship at all, and yet with Cole, he can picture it so easily. The reason, though, eludes him.

“Yes.” The answer comes without hesitation, the usually dull glow of Tundra’s eyes brightening instantly. Without the compulsion for honesty, such a question may have been answered with ice shards, or perhaps even numbing silence. Now, though, it is as if the memory of Bi-Han himself is the one posing the question. “He had left for a mission before the attack. If I knew his fate…I want to believe he is alive somewhere, but I cannot be sure.”

“Hanzo Hasashi…” Tundra lets the name roll over his tongue with a mix of suspicion and contemplation. Why the man would send anyone his way is a mystery, one that has him on guard. He considers refusing, turning away, but upon studying the newcomer, he finds no trace of malicious intent. Instead, he finds uncertainty written across his face, anxiety and hope fighting each other in his eyes. There shouldn’t be any more kryomancers left, and yet the question posed alongside those visible emotions implies otherwise.

"This fight will be your last!"

Kuai Liang was once an assassin, a cryomancer serving alongside his brother Bi-Han. The two rarely served on missions together, instead seeing each other off before one left. Kuai Liang had said goodbye to his brother mere hours before a horde of attackers in Shirai Ryu uniforms laid siege to the Lin Kuei clan. Outnumbered and unprepared, it became a massacre, with Kuai Liang as one of the victims. Instead of moving on, he found himself in the icy depths of the Netherrealm, facing the sorcerer Quan Chi. Given a second chance, he is determined to find all those involved in the attack on the clan and end them. Now, he is only the spectre of vengeance. Now, he is only Tundra.

"I will not know peace until all those responsible for the demise of the Lin Kuei know the cold hand of death."
