Rummaging through her closet, she looked high and low to find pieces to pull together for the Hellball. She had been mindful over the centuries to collect garments from her favorite eras. As she searched for a bracelet here and a headpiece there, she began reminiscing on her own experiences with Halloween. Getting to be there from its inception, she watched over the years as spiritualism turned corporate and magic turned plastic. She thought about how carving turnips turned into carving pumpkins, how over time humanity would dress as altered interpretations of its own history, and how new ideas would develop into traditions. “Ugh, that’s enough thinking.” she said to no one in particular. Putting on some music, it was time to go find another distraction.
