for a long time i thought Suselle was cute but enjoyed both Krusie and Kriselle more, and for surprisingly similar reasons- specifically the sense of comfort both pairs had around each other, with Kris and Susie finding camaraderie as fellow outcasts with similar tastes and senses of humor, and Kris and Noelle of course being childhood friends who grew up extremely close
so it was a really nice that, during the Holiday House segment of Chapter 4, after Noelle and Susie spent some time alone, the two of them actually got over their respective hangups about the other (Noelle being too shy and flustered to actually really talk to Susie, Susie thinking Noelle was too "top shelf" to try interacting with) very quickly and moved to not only talking earnestly with each other but being comfortable enough to tease each other? which, again, is great for both parties for different reasons (Noelle doesn't like being treated with little kid gloves and DOES like being pushed a little i.e., The Good Kind Of Scary, and Susie respects somebody who can show some backbone and won't immediately get scared off by her)
what's more, it reminded me that they actually displayed pretty much the exact same behavior in Chapter 2 with their talk on the ferris wheel, and if even after an "it was all just a dream" excuse the two are falling into the same behavior of relaxing around each other, that proves it wasn't a fluke. all three legs of the Kris/Susie/Noelle triangle have different dynamics, yes, but they all show a similar sense of comfort and ease with each other
(getting more comfortable with Susie seems to have helped Noelle get over her "Talking To Tall Girls On Twitter" Syndrome which, i won't lie, was probably something i personally needed to take me from "yeah it's cute" to "okay i really enjoy this" lol)
i've come to find that "couple who have a platonic but extremely intense love for a third person" is a very funny dynamic but only recently have i realized that there's a way to make it even better: "throuple where 2 of the 3 members have a platonic but extremely intense love for a fourth person whom the third person has little to no attachment to." i then realized that this is how i picture Krusielle (Ralsei of course is the beloved fourth person)
