New character!!! Heinzel the wizard

“Low walls are very popular this year.” It’s a bugger getting both characters on the page when one protagonist is less than 5 foot tall, and the other is 7 foot 5.

Height comparison of the main characters in Orcward - Korum, Heinzel and Thommie. How the hell am I gonna fit these dorks in a panel at the same time. One day I’ll redraw this with a proper scale.

Heinzel may be the shortest regular Orcward cast member but he will Fonz the hell out of your sternum.

More sketch concepts for Orcward - getting the hang of hair texture. Heinzel’s about 5 min of messing around with a half-dry brushpen, with detail added via micron markers. Korum - well, the less said the better, but there’s a reason he ties it up. If not brushed regularly he starts looking like a Ramones member trying out for a part in Lord of the Rings.

Korum is many things, but graceful is not one of ‘em.  Heinzel probably picked the route for maximum pratfall potential.

Test image for the rendering style I’d be using for Orcward - greyscale copic markers and traditional inks, scanned and with some flats and basic highlights thrown over the top. If anyone has any suggestions or crits for improving this style, they’d be greatly welcomed.
