I buy most of the gear for the kids' games myself, and as I'm sure you know, dice and minis and books for upwards of 15 kids ain't cheap. For what it's worth, most people are fine with you reflagging or sharing their stuff - just ask them first, and provide a link to their site or social media page. For a lot of us, me included, those lost views can make the difference between paying for medication and utilities.
I refuse to believe that my post has resulted in you losing money for medication and utilities. This post, and indeed your twitter story has nothing to do with your art. I havenât taken anything from you. When I reposted it, I didnât shave your name off the screencaps, or pretend it was my story. It takes no time for someone to go to twitter to look at you, and then perhaps to follow your link. I know for a fact that people have done this because I look at the stuff theyâve been adding to the post.Â
 Mike Mearlsâ original re-tweet brought attention to your twitter as well, did you accuse him of taking money away from you, or am I special because Iâm not famous? I can edit the original post, but no reblogs will have the edit, as far as I know.Â
Ok. First of all, there is a HUGE difference between retweeting a thread on a social media platform (twitter) and screencapping that same thread and posting it on a different social media platform (tumblr) without adding a link to the original post/poster. People could (and did) follow Mikeâs retweet back to me with the click of a button. When not given a link to follow, many people donât engage further, resulting in lost views. I, and many other freelance artists, rely on views and circulation to gain commissions. When you donât link back to us, we lose views and thus we lose commissions. That post has a great deal to do with my art - I pay for gear for the kids with commission money. A lot of the commissions I do are pieces of peopleâs dungeons and dragons characters, the sort of piece that might interest the sort of people that like and share a tweet thread about D&D. Freelance artists live hand to mouth, and use our social media to advertise ourselves and our work. Not crediting or sourcing posts represents a huge loss of income around the world for these artists. Itâs not just me, and itâs not just you. This is an endemic problem.

It Will Be Hard is an interactive graphic novel telling the story of Arthur and Harold - two men with two polar opposite sexualities working toward one mutually fulfilling relationship.
Successfully Kickstarted in 2017, It Will Be Hard is a gentle, erotic, and optimistic story with queer people of colour at its center. It touches upon grey asexuality, polyamory, and the importance of communication between partners.
The story, though linear, contains light choose-your-own adventure mechanic where the reader is able to choose between certain moments in the story and create their own canon reading experience. This is seamlessly and fully supported in the digital interactive build!
A portion of the comic contains frontal nudity and sexual intimacy which can be skipped, but please be advised that this work is only suitable for readers aged 18+!

Indigenous Australians have had stories about giant kangaroos and wombats for thousands of years, and European settlers just kinda assumed they were myths. Cut to more recently when evidence of megafauna was discovered, giant versions of Australian animals that died out 41 000 years ago.
Similarly, scientists have been stumped about how native Palm trees got to a valley in the middle of Australia, and it wasnât until a few years ago that someone did DNA testing and concluded that seeds had been carried there from the north around 30 000 years ago⌠aaand someone pointed out that Indigenous people have had stories about gods from the north carrying the seeds to a valley in the central desert.

I always said disservice is done to oral traditions and myth when you take them literally. Ancient people were not stupid.
but is it really a disservice to take them literally considering some of them require being taken literally in order to understand the knowledge theyâre trying to convey? Like, in this very threadâŚthe Somalis telling explorers that Mosquitoes spread malaria. That HAS to be taken literally. How do mosquitoes spread malaria metaphorically? No, they donât cause it, but they do spread it. Like, itâs not a question of taking something literally or not. itâs thinking critically about it. If *I* hear that bugs are linked to a disease, Iâd think to myself âmaybe we should study these bugs to see if thereâs a linkâ, but this motherfucker just went âlol, what silly brown peopleâ and didnât press the matter further. And thatâs the problem with historians, people will literally say EXACTLY what something is, but in school weâre taught âif you donât understand it itâs probably religious, sexual, religiously sexual, or sexually religious.â Historians, Anthroplogists and Archaeologists live in bubbles of endless self gratification to the point that if they donât see the need to think about shit.
