To some people a dog is just a dog. A pet. A creature living in your house that you feed and keeps you company on the couch.

Not to me. And not this dog.

This is Solo. I've known her since the day she was born when my coworker sent me pictures of the little newborn potatoes asking which one I wanted. When I saw the little stripe on her head and belly, I was hooked. Since day one, this dog has been more human than dog. She understands full sentences, she knows when we are upset and does everything in her doggie power to make us smile. She's so gentle with our 4 year old daughter. She is one of the easiest dogs I've ever had when it comes to training and is so incredibly smart. She wants to please everyone. She is my heart dog, and she makes everything just a little bit brighter.

Next time your pup is begging for more attention, acting a little needier, or just seems to want to snuggle when all you need to do are chores... take an extra five minutes and give that dog that extra head scratch, that extra snuggle time, that extra play time.
