👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

I'm writing something where Murderbot gets rescued from a mission gone very wrong--but it's been rescued by freelance salvagers from a pirate station, not known friendlies.

(That sounds ominous, but it's a short fic with a happy ending.)

💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?

I wouldn't say so. The process of writing a fic strips it of that emotional link. I can think "Oh, that's heartbreaking," when I come up with the idea, but actually writing it turns the entire thing into scenes and dialogue and character interactions.

That said, I liked writing the minific where Three forces itself into shutdown so it can dream about 01 and 02 again. It's a deliciously chewy ball of angst.

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

I tend to write short stuff. So probably Lecter's Great Adventure. Escaping the Corporation Rim isn't easy, and the main character gets shaken about a bit. Including literally! The fic is fairly straightforward, though, with a positive ending.

18. Choose a passage from your writing. Tell me about the backstory of this moment. How you came up with it, how it changed from start to end.

It did not sound like human voices, though sometimes there was the odd stolen human word or machine message. It didn't sound like anything I had ever heard before. It sounded like the clicking of a broken machine, like strange creatures crying in the night, like whispers just out of earshot, forming words I could almost understand. Like small insects too close to my ear, telling me secrets in their language. Like the rumbling of the planet, or the twin stars in the daytime sky. Except all at once. I could only guess what I was actually hearing. 

Three's trying to process the background EM activity of an unfamiliar biosphere here. I don't know how I came up with the concept of plants using electromagnetic signals to communicate (instead of chemical networks) and I don't know nearly enough biology to attempt to explain it xD they're certainly very different from what we'd consider plants, anyway... I wanted to convey how alien it was. How the conflict between the normal natural events (on this planet) and a function built by humans for human-made constructs can result in strange and confusing things. To be honest I don't like the paragraph much and will probably cut or edit it some more. The voice feels off.

32. What is a line from a poem/novel/fanfic etc that you return to from time and time again? How did you find it? What does it mean to you?

I remember watching it few times when I was a kid, but I only know there was young Marcin Tyszka and Piotr Kraśko XD.

10. Is anyone in your family in the army?

Nope x2, but my dad and probably all my uncles used to be at some point of their youth, ‘cause of obligatory military service. FUN FACT - I was probably ~6 yrs old when I got the super idea about joining military forces in future. I was 100% sure I'll be a woman IN THE ARMY. Of course later I found out I'm small, weak, I suck at every kind of physical exercises and sports, so I forgot about it. My wobbly noodle arms are meant to make art, not to fight in a war I guess... Still I don't have fucking idea why I wanted to join the army, I didn't watched these kind of films or cartoons, historic war film was just NOPE from me at this age. Maybe I thought I need a military training to become a power ranger???
