timkon animatic! i posted it over on tiktok and if i’m tryna cross post more then i figure this is a good place to start.

this is my first ever animatic, and even though it’s short and a little wonky at times, I’m actually pretty happy with it and my inner child that always wanted to make one is overjoyed. not bad for a mostly retired artist, I’d say, though my carpal tunnel certainly isn’t thanking me lol

this isn’t explicitly romantic but… come on. wdym a future ver of tim’s last thing he wanted to tell his younger self was to apologize to conner because of “how much he matters to us”??? that name TUGS on tim’s HEART even tho he doesn’t even remember him??? even tho conner shouldn’t even exist in this timeline????? bro.

also imagine if there had been an arc of tim trying to Find conner like in brucequest. that’s the ultimate detective mystery; finding someone who no longer exists…

this is one of my edits of them that could also be platonic. i’m always blown away by how Soft they are with each other when it comes down to it. me and adventure comics (2009) #3 vs the world. underwhelming reunion that i ultimately can’t help but cradle softly in my hands. to copy and paste a comment i left responding to someone on tiktok:

tim was the first person kon told about the list both because he knew tim needed the connection (as did he) and because he knew he could trust tim with his struggle. tim’s trust in many people had been tested or broken recently, and he told kon what he believed because so few at that point trusted him at his word on it. it was, in a sense, both a test and a call for affirmation. kon, of course, delivered. kon’s “i believe you”, and tim’s unspoken but always assumed “i believe IN you”.
