I served the vision of a founder, CEO, etc but always maintained a vision of my own in my work and I loved it. One cold day, I took my kids to the park. It was the day after Christmas so it was almost empty. There was a lonely child in the playground besides my kids. His dad was on the phone. I played with my little boy and involved that kid too. While playing with them, I had a horrific accident. I bumped my head really hard on the edge of play structure trying to stand up. I was bellowing in pain, my head was bleeding a bit.It was cold and my kids were afraid seeing me like this. I tried to pull myself together. The man was standing almost beside me still in his phone, very deep and iblivious to his surrounding or even his kid. I asked: Can you see if I am still bleeding? I had so much pain and really needed help. Man paused for 1 second from his precious phone, looked at me and said: yeah, you better get that checked out. Then he dived back into his phone. To me this was a tragedy. Not beacuse of me but beacuse I ask: what is humanity? What are we if we can be so indifferent to another person's pain and need for help?
