Remember the good old days? Staying up late in the middle of the night only to be greeted by the most tempting infomercial you have ever seen? Remember hoping that you could buy the product only to figure out if it is actually as good as the commercial makes it appear to be? I remember, and I was crushed each time my jaw dropped seeing this new product being pushed as revolutionary and life-changing.

All of this has changed now. Possibly for the better! There is no need to wait until 2 in the morning to see what new products are coming. All you have to do is go down your facebook timeline and those products will be pushed right at you. You can not avoid them, they merge seamlessly with your timeline and the videos that they use are tempting and eye-catching. Even worse, they all have great reviews, making the products even more tempting than before. Realistically though, you can not blame these small businesses. Facebook has over 2.41 Billion monthly active users. There is literally no other way to get your product in front of all those eyes at once. More interestingly, there are 51.77 Million cable tv subscribers. The decision is fairly simple if you want to advertise. So where does Heat Check fit in? Heat check is going to explore the modern world of infomercials. I will use my Facebook account and become subjected to the world of infomercials. Gasping and shouting "Oos, and Ahs" as I purchase products that may or may not serve any purpose in my life. This is purely for the fun of validation. The commercials are so tempting that one just has to try it out. I'll be the one!
