Only one skin tone
So this is a little rant and another reason why I hate living in this small town in Iowa.
I've lived in many different parts of Texas and in Maryland.( so I'm use to Mexicans and black people, I'm also part Mexican, but very slightly)
But this one older man came into my store today and he had to get some makeup for his wife.(bad idea) and since I usually stock the medicine/makeup aisles I had to help him. So I had to explain the difference between two products(concealer and foundation) and he was like why are there so many colors(foundation) and I said"well people have many different types of skin tones. Some people have really dark tones and other are very pale."
So he goes to say."Well there should only be one, white."
I was pissed
And he just randomly picks a shade which wouldn't work for his wife(he showed me a pic of her)
Luckily, some other coworker had to check him out bc I was very pissed.
Bc, one. People here are always hot accepting people of color.
I know a lot of Mexicans here and sot black people who wait t come out later in the day, almost night so they can afford people.(wtf?)
Also, bc even if there was one color:White.
Different white people have also different shades.
Like there are very pale white people(no drag) and there are white people who are really tan...so like???
