I'm re reading Inquistion of the Damned and I'm getting upset because Hashladun and her sisters are becoming like a really niche blorbo. I already thought they didn't deserve what happened to them, but I'm getting attached and it's hurting more😭😭😭
Can't wait for the next big Hive/Taken overboss villain to be Oryx's Nephew Twice Removed On His Father's Side, Klavadan.
And then his Uncle, Dundax.
And his Second Cousin, Rorzoc.
And then Menroth, that Hive Queen who was Crota's babysitter when he was a young Hiveling.
Kinda getting tired of dealing with that stupid fucker's bloodline as frankly, the Hive aren't particularly good antagonists. Whatever complexity they have in the lore (and the game can't be bothered to work that in so why should I) is totally lost in their in-game portrayal where they and the Taken are treated as just hungry murdery space zombies with extra steps.
They're utterly generic mob bad guys and the Vex, Fallen, and Cabal have all received far more nuanced and compelling reasons in the actual game for doing what they do.
But for some reason, Bungie loves them some Hive because they KEEP TURNING UP.

we back at it again, with ominous rock and stinky red hive. I do love how the labyrinth looks underneath the moon, i think the horror aspect of it was spot on but goes overlooked a lot. Hopefully there will be more to come if I stop being lazy ;w;
