I'm being a nerd and I saw "errors in deathly hallows" and I feel like I can provide my thought process on a few. This post may become long as I reblog and add more shit. But this is the first one I saw that I feel like I can kinda answer. Gonna add a read more bc spoilers and ik some people haven't read/seen all of em yet
The error: Voldemort takes Lucius’s wand so he can attack Harry without the Priori Incantatem thing happening again. But he’s had Ollivander captive for a year, and in fact forced him to make a wand for Pettigrew; why didn’t he force Ollivander to make him a new wand as well?
My thoughts on this is a two point thing. One, he's prideful. He doesn't want to admit to someone outside his inner circle that he needs a different wand to defeat Harry. And Ollivander may not have done it if Voldemort told him what it's for. Second, I feel like he's punishing Lucius Malfoy for getting arrested, being a coward, and for Draco not actually fulfilling the task he was assigned (killing Dumbledore.
