Ingredients: 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast. 1/2 cup warm milk 110F. 1/4 cup warm water 110F. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 2 large eggs. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 tsp salt. Oil for frying. For the glaze:. 2 cups powdered sugar. 1/4 cup milk. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Food coloring assorted colors. Sprinkles for decoration.

Instructions: Combine sugar, warm milk, and water in a large mixing bowl. After dispersing the yeast over the mixture, leave it for five to ten minutes, or until frothy. To the yeast mixture, add the eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Blend thoroughly. Add the salt and flour gradually to make a sticky dough. Work the dough for approximately five minutes, or until it is smooth. After the dough has doubled in size, place it in a bowl that has been oiled, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise for about an hour. After pounding the dough, roll it out to a thickness of about 1/2 inch on a floured surface. Cut out large box-shaped donuts from the dough using a box-shaped cookie cutter. Don't forget to drill a hole in the middle of every donut. Heat oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius. Fry the donuts carefully in batches until they are browned all over. blot with paper towels. Blend milk, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until a smooth glaze forms. To make different colors that resemble boxes, divide the glaze among several bowls and add food coloring to each. Let the excess glaze drip off after dipping each donut into the colored glaze.
