I think the most loving way to be spanked is to be bent over the knee and have one arm wrapped around you so you can bury your face in their arm and squeeze them when you need it.
Okay? That’s a very random opinion.

Do you still smoke pot?
Yeah. I didn’t for a solid 4 months but recently decided that I need it to keep my sanity
What are some things to take your mind off of things when you want to relapse?
Here is a little list of things that sprung to mind:
Netflix!
Read a book
Draw/paint/colour
Get creative! Make some friendship bracelets or recovery focused posters/sketches
Make some recovery motivated sticky notes and stick them around your house; on mirrors, doors, cupboards, tins, you name it, a sticky note can go on it ;)
Write in a journal
Do a puzzle
Work/study
Write a bucket list of things you want to do in the next 1/5/10/20 years
Go outside - stimulate your senses
Go for a short walk - try to notice things that are going on around you; what can you see? hear? smell? touch?Â
Talk to someone if they are around
Message or phone a friend
Organise a day out with someone
Watch a movie
Play a game - that can be video games/a silly game on your phone/a board game/ANYTHING
Go for a drive
Start scrapbooking
Write a letter to someone - hand written letters in the post are the best things ever.
Make yourself a “care package” fill it with things like face masks, body lotion, some hair clips, a little notebook etc for times when you feel low.
Learn something new, whether it be a language or a skill/hobby e.g. knitting
Visit a family member you haven’t seen for a while, take them for coffee and listen to how their week has been.Â
See if there is anything you can help out with around the house or with a neighbour
And I am sure there are a lot of other options out there too!Â
But I think it is also important to remember that it is okay to acknowledge your feelings and emotions, you don’t always have to push them away. It is also okay to struggle and need some extra support; you don’t  have to be “okay” all of the time. Don’t block it all out. Speak to someone, let it out. Recovery is a journey, of course there are going to be ups and downs, but what matters is learning how to deal with those moments when relapse seems inviting.Â
Remind yourself of all the reasons you have held on and fought through so far because there are hundreds. You have your whole future ahead of you, don’t lose hope, it is out there. Recovery IS possible for everyone xo
