Fools Gold / Pyrite. This one is different from the other Pyrite. This one is handground using some fools gold I got in Cambridge. This one doesn't go gold/yellow as the other one does. Its much more greyish although it still has the golden sparkles. I suspect there is Galena in the middle as it looks very similar to the Galena and Fools gold mix I did earlier. Peacock ore / Bornite. A new type of Fuchsite I found. This one is from India, and what a difference! It is so much deeper (and just a sparkly) as the light green one from Kremer. Handground Galena and Pyrite. This turned out really nice. A majory is Galena which makes a grey black colour and pyrite adds some golden like sparkles. Handground Azurite Dark. I managed to make this much before my pestle broke. Such a beautful natural rock. Swipe for the close up of the rock. I went to @mosartsupply this weekend and bought some @sennelier1887 pigments and binder. I'm so excited with the way they came out that I wanted to test them on a piece. Hence, the colorful owl done completely with ultramarine blue light and vermilion red hue that I mulled myself! Look at that beautiful texture and granulation! Upon opening up my shop, I decided to include a small mixed media painting of Flüsch in every order that contains Flüsch-grün paint(s). These(top seven images) are the first set of works that were sent out to new homes along with the paints. I really enjoyed the whole process of making them, and it’s also a good exercise to keep myself motivated in drawing and trying new techniques!
