Day 6 of MoCtobeR2025: OUR LADY OF SORROWS
my faaaaaaavorite patch arrangement from my LONG LIVE Philly jacket :) there are almost two dozen patches on the completed garment, all painted on scrap fabric (I made frequent visits to my uni’s fashion department scrap bins!) in acrylic paint. i’ll post proper photos of the whole thing here at some point, but there are a few pictures on my art/drag/cosplay instagram in the meantime— my username is the same across platforms if you want to check it out!
Visible mending of some trousers using sashiko embroidery! They're my favourite pair so there's no way I was gonna let them go!
Eraserhead baby patch I made out of old tshirt scraps. Took me roughly about an hour and a half. He turned out way better than I expected. 🫀🪡
Hand embroidering my friend their Engineer patches from TF2 cosplay. I got make them iron on for them, but I'm happy with how the first patch (second attempt at making the patch actually) came out! Moving on to the second patch and hopefully I'll move a bit faster now I know what I'm doing for the patch. It's mainly satin stitch and an outline stitch thrown in. It's been a while since I've done embroidery in general let alone by hand so I'm very proud with how this came out. I'm debating doing a few others after I get Engineer's done for my friend and Pyro's done for myself despite probably not cosplay Pyro for Colossal because of course I'm stuggling to get the cosplay done and I have less than a week... So probably not going to have Pyro done, but my friend will have Engineer done!
I don't think my friend has my tumblr so I should be safe to share this, but I'm planning also making patches for their TF2 OC (Both RED & BLU variant) so like hopefully they like the patches.

My partner bought an old bookbinding press and I can finally make some better quality lino prints. I'm going to either leave them as patches or sew them into tiny flags.
It’s been a while, but back with a new project that’s coming along pretty well
Finding all sorts of cool bands and music lately, plus being just fed up with everything going on in the world in general, I’ve said “Fuck it” and working on turning the way I dress and present to be more for me than for others comfort
So first vest project is more weirdcore and just things that I vibe with that I know others can find odd
I have some more battle jackets/vests in the works/planned out that I can’t wait to get started on!
free handed this patch last week with fabric paint and a scrap of old tshirt :^)
