My contribution for Gingerpilot Week 2021 @gingerpilotweek​ - Day 2: Stranded Together

I’ve had this fic on my WIP list since late winter when @abner-krill​ and I decided to trade fics. I think we settled on a theme of just writing the most self-indulgent Gingerpilot we wanted, and that’s absolutely what I set out to do.

I really don’t know what to say about it. It’s an ID Fic of sorts for me, It’s all hurt/comfort and a happy ending, but a lot of pain and angst in between. I wanted to approach Poe and Hux from a different lens than my usual, setting them up as the enemies they are, but without the foundation of security my Poe usually offers Hux. They’re both hurting a lot here, and over the course of the story slowly find healing in one another ♥
