Edgar Degas sketched many frame profiles during his lifetime, yet many were never produced until we decided to build them. Here, a mirror frame we made from the artist's sketchbook of 1878-79. The frame is zinc-clad with a patinated finish. We developed the surface treatment at the request of photographer Irving Penn, who asked for a frame that resembled Paris rooftops.
